II. INTRODUCTION

A baby is classified as a newborn for the first year of his or her life and gradually develops into a
toddler. A baby's brain develops and learns how to function outside the mother's womb until the age
of three months following birth. During this stage of development, babies gradually begin to smile
more. They'll then learn to monitor items with their eyes and grip and release objects with their
hands. They'll also begin putting their hands to their mouths. Babies learn to roll over, talk, and laugh
around the age of four to six months. Their small hands are finally able to grip things at this age.
They begin to play with toys in addition to other activities. The first stages toward sitting up and
supporting one's own weight are these. Babies begin to crawl between the ages of seven and nine
months, scooting around on their buttocks, crawling on their hands and knees, or crawling on their
stomach. True, some kids skip the crawling stage entirely and begin walking as soon as they are
able to respond to recognizable terms like their names or the word no. They also learn to stand on
their own, even if just for a limited period of time. The time between ten and twelve months marks
the transition from baby to toddler. During this stage, infants learn to feed themselves and walk while
holding on to the furniture's edge or anything else they can get their hands on. To get their parents'
attention, they learn to address them as "mama and dada" and point to items. When children are
young, they learn to pretend to play with various objects, such as pretending to chat on the phone or
talking to stuffed animals. Besides their first word, parents eagerly await the baby's first steps, which
occur towards the end of the baby phase.
When it comes to providing care for a newborn, one of the most commonly cited issues is the
parenting style of the parents. If parents want their children to grow up to be effective individuals,
they must always be aware of the benefits of excellent parenting. Addressing the level of parenting
concerns in this case can help the child grow. Parents want to learn how to be a good parent by
doing it themselves before they take care of their children. They should be able to see, feel, hear,
and smell their children, which is an excellent parenting style that prioritizes their children's
development. A parent's physical parenting style may have an impact on how effectively their
children are taken care of. This involves providing adequate nourishment for their children so that
they can lead healthy lives as adults. In addition, children should be given vitamins and nutrients in
the form of food supplements to help maintain their physical well-being according to bartleby.com
In the midst of a pandemic, every Filipino, especially aspiring and expecting mothers, should be
aware of the situation, as this will reduce the risk and lower the prevalence rate. We will study,
interpret, and provide preventive measures to our family, relatives, and friends, as well as the
general public, as part of our research.
The quality of nursing practice, education, and research among students and registered nurses
could all benefit from this case study. This case study on depression in nursing education could help
clinical instructors and student nurses learn everything they can about the disorder and how to deal
with it in a hospital setting.
