Roaming Profile

 Objective
Roaming profile, storing the user’s account (profile) on a network server and
then on the desktop computer. Admins can manage Active Directory so that it
associates the roaming user with the user’s account. Windows copies the user’s
profile from network to local computer when the user logs in.

 Problem
The domain server a Standalone client (PC1) will be to store data. Next client
(PC2) to continue with the work of the data stored on yesterday. PC2 has no job to
continue to work yesterday. It was because the PC1 from a local profile to a data
repository.

 Solution
 So, we used Roaming Profile (User Account) to solve this problem.
Roaming Profile

 Run box > Cmd.

 Create account on DC to login from another Client computer.

 Then, create new folder.

 Share Roam folder with Advanced Sharing.

 Run > dsa.msc

 Select user (u1) > Right click > Properties > Profile > fill in Profile Path.

 In Client, Run > sysdm.cpl, Connect to Server base.

 Logoff, then other user to login again.

 If you want to know your account is roaming……

 Run > sysdm.cpl > user name and password > Advanced > User Profile settings…….

 You’ll see your account is being Roaming Account.
