RGADC RESOLUTION NO. IV-A-10-2021

“REQUESTING CHED REGION IV-A TO ENCOURAGE HIGHER EDUCATION


INSTITUTIONS IN CALABARZON TO CONDUCT RESEARCH STUDIES ON
TEENAGE PREGNANCY IN THE REGION”

WHEREAS, Filipinos think that the most important problem of women today is
teenage pregnancy based on the 2020 national survey of the
Commission on Population and Development;

WHEREAS, Executive Order (EO) No. 141 adopted as a national priority the
implementation of measures to address root causes of the rising number
of adolescent pregnancies;

WHEREAS, aside from instruction, higher education institutions, including state


universities and colleges, conduct regular research studies as part of
their primary functions;

WHEREAS, the RGADC sees the need to conduct more research studies to identify
the root causes of teenage pregnancy in CALABARZON and come up
with strategic interventions in addressing the concern;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY


RESOLVED, to request CHED Region IV-A to encourage higher
education institutions in CALABARZON to conduct research studies on
teenage pregnancy in the Region.
