Not all Star Oni have the same abilities. As a variant
option, you can select one of the following racial
traits:
Fire Breath: You gain a breath weapon in a 15-
foot cone. When you use your breath weapon,
each creature in the area of the exhalation must
make a Dexterity saving throw. The DC for this
saving throw equals 8 + your Charisma modifier
+ your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6
fire damage on a failed save, and half as much
damage on a successful one. The damage
increases to 3d6 at 5th level, 4d6 at 11th level,
and 5d6 at 17th level. You can use this ability a
number of times equal to your proficiency
bonus, regaining all uses on a short rest or long
rest. This replaces Electric Jolt.
Tiger Shape: As a bonus action, you can
magically transform into a tiger. Any gear you
are wearing or carrying becomes merged with
your new form. Use the stats for a Tiger in the
Monster Manual, but you retain your hit points
and proficiency bonus, as well as your
Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. This
transformation lasts for one minute or until
your hit points reach zero, at which point it
cannot be used again until you finish a short
rest or long rest. This replaces Flight and
Electric Jolt.
