M3 SOFTWARE REINSTALLATION
1 Installation of Software

The following guide will detail the steps required to update the M3 software.

Equipment Required
SVGA Monitor
USB Mouse
USB keyboard

Step 1.

Turn on the “Service Mode”, switch SW4, 5 to ‘ON’ to disable the auto-restart
feature.

Step 2.
Close the M3 program by selecting ‘File’ then ‘Exit’ in the main M3 window.

Step 3.
Navigate to the M3 folder C:\Programe Files\ESL\M3 and rename the folder
named ‘M3’ to ‘M3OLD’.

Step 4.
Navigate to the folder C:\Winapps\M3\M3-### Setup Folder\
(### being the latest software version)

Step 5.
Navigate to C:\Winapps\M3 VR2272B\ M3-### Setup via My Computer and
then run the M3-###-Setup.EXE.

Click OK/Yes to all installation windows.

Step 6.
Copy the files named ‘SHIPDATA.TXT’ and ‘SHIPDATA.ZIP’ from the M3OLD
folder to the newly created M3 folder and overwrite the new default files.

Step 7.
Switch SW4, 5 back to ‘OFF’ to re-enable auto-restart feature

Step 8.
Go to the Start\Programs\Startup menu at click on ‘M3’.

The system will now be running the newly installed software.
