Then, load the abrasive material (min, 150 kg.) by means of container “34” (fig. 5). 06.7 - DISASSEMBY In case you need to disassembly or handle the machine: 1) Disconnect it from the power and air supply 2) Carry out in the reverse order all steps indicated in paragraph “06.2 - Mounting -the automatic conveyor belt and external supports”. 3) Disassembly the pipe “35” (fig. 5) connecting the dust filter to the machine. Disassembly the pipe exhausting the filtered air outside the room. If any part or component of the machine needs dismounting, please contact our Engineering Department. 10 07. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 07.1 - MANUAL SAND-BLASTING Before starting any sand-blasting operations, carry out the following tests: check that the compressed air flow is sufficient for regular operation. ~ check that the abrasive material in container “18” covers drawing pipe “20A" by at least 10 m (fig. 1), ~ check the exact position of the dust seal rubber gaskets, as shown in fig. 2. Press the conveyor belt switch "33", sliding the pane into the cabinet, as far as the required position. The conveyor belt travels from left to right; switch "33" has three settings: ~0- the conveyor belt is not activated (idle) - 1 the conveyor belt travels from left to right ~2- the conveyor belt travels from right to left D Grip the sand-blasting gun *22" through opening “1” £) Start sand-blasting by pressing the pedal control "19", making sure that the spray is distributed evenly over the entire work surface. Do not direct the spray at the glass pane entry and exit areas, as it may lift the dust seal rubber gaskets "2A-2B-2C", allowing abrasive material to escape. If the sand-blasting gun "22" does not work, refer to the table on P. 26 (Sand-blasting Gun Troubleshooting). F) When you have finished sand-blasting, guide the glass pane towards the exit by turning the conveyor belt switch "33" to position 1. indicated on the gauge “7". Regulate the power of the abrasive material/sand spray exiting the nozzle with tap "12". ca AUTOMATIC SAND-BLASTING Before starting any sand-blasting operations, carry out the following tests: - check that the compressed air flow is sufficient for regular operation - make sure that the automatic sand-blasting gun pressure gauge"4” indicates the pressure set during programming - make sure that the running pressure gauge “6” read 7-8 kg/cm? - check that the abrasive material in container "18" covers drawing pipe "20" by at lease 100mm check the exact position of the dust seal rubber gaskets "2A,2B,2C", as show on page 13 in fig.2 - make sure that the white light “L1"(power on)is on Start sand-blasting as follows: 1. Rest the program by pressing and turning ‘S1"(emergency push button) 2. Switch on the machine light with switch “S5” 3. Rest the glass pane at the starting point show on the external left-side support. 4. programming (see the instructions page 15 and 16 for programming) Warning: in the event of an emergency, press the emergency push button “S1” on the electric panel to cut off power to the machine and to stop all moving parts. 08. REPLACING THE HOSES Before replacing the hoses, isconnect the machine from the Power and air supply. Only qualified staff, duly trained, can carry out these interventions. REMOVING THE HOSE: To gain access to the filter area, unscrew the inspection door “49” (fig. 1). Unscrew the hose clamping band screws and slide the frame and hose assembly out of the Venturi tube collars which remain in place. Slide the hoses off their frames. MOUNTING THE HOSES: Fit the frames in the new hoses, lining up the hose seams with the notch in the frame collar (fig. 2). Fold the mouth of the hose inwards over the Hose seam frame rim (fig. 3). Frame notch Slip the frame and hose assembly onto the Venturi Hose tube from below and clamp it with the band. collar Tighten the screw on the band in order to clamp the frame and hose assembly onto the Venturi tube (fig. 4). Pay attention not to damage the filter hose during assembly operations. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE Please read the contents of this manual very carefully. The instructions are very important for the operator's safety and for machine installation, use and maintenance. Never damage or tamper with the microswitches or any other safety devices. The operator should never leave the machine unattended while it is running, This machine may only be used as a sand-blasting cabinet for glass. If the instructions are followed carefully and any worn-out parts are replaced promptly, the operator will not risk breathing in any dust produced during sand-blasting. No liability is accepted for damage or injury to persons, animals or property caused: ~ if the machine is used improperly or not according to the instructions contained in this manual; - if the compressed air is used improperly; by failure to observe common safety regulations on the workplace; - by negligence during machine handling and lifting; ~ by failure to observe safety regulations during machine installation, operation and maintenance, even if not mentioned specifically in our manual, ~ unauthorized modifications or operations ~ use of spare parts that are not original or specific for the modi 03. LIFTING, TRANSPORTING AND UNPACKING THE MACHINE AMPORTANT In case of machine lifting or transport - for shipment, installation, maintenance, etc. - we recommend operating in accordance with indications shown in the figures below, and, in particular: Sand-blasting machine: (fig. 1) a) lifting with forklift truck, b) lifting with crane, by means of metal ropes or chains in the 4 eyebolts located ‘on the machine roof. Dust filter: (fig. 2) a) lifting with forklift truck, or b) ing with crane, by means of metal ropes or chains in the 4 eyebolts located on the machine roof. Input-output conveyor belt: (fig. 3) + lifting with forklift truck. WARNING: If you use other lifting points, you may damage the machine structure and operation. Unpacking: Unpack the machine close to the installation site as follows: ~ remove the polythene wrapping the packaging, taking care not to damage the contents (especially the belts and power cables). = make sure that the machine has not been damaged in trans our offices at once. ~ SAND-BLASTING MACHINE: cut the strap and remove the items from the pallet (fig. 1). ~ DUST FILTER AND CONVEYOR BELTS: cut the strap and remove the items from the pallet (fig. 2 and 3). ; if in doubt, do not use it and contact 05. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION ATTENTION: The machine should be installed by qualified staff only. No liability for damage is accepted if the installation does not comply with the instructions contained in this manual and if the power and air supply does not meet the required standards. Before assembling and installing the cabinet, position it near to its place of use. If it is installed on an upper storey, make sure that the floor can bear its weight. The machine must be installed in a dry room on a solid, flat surface. The machine must not be installled in an environment where explosive materials or substances are present. In order to carry out machine operation and maintenance, respect minimum distances indicated in figure 1. i im Entry conveyor ™ Exit conveyor im r = nti fens bet [*390" 30" 06.1 - MOUNTING AND CONNECTING THE DUST FILTER (fig. 2) Put the sand-blasting machine and the related dust filter into position, bearing in mind the conne pipe “35” length, then connect the dust filter to the machine body, by means of the said pipe "35". 06.2 - MOUNTING THE AUTOMATIC CONVEYOR BELT AND EXTERNAL SUPPORTS (fig. 2) Follow the steps below for mounting: 1) Put the four external shoulders levelling bases “S6/a - 56/b - 56/c - 56/d” into position; 2) Start the conveyor belt assembly from the right hand side; identify shoulder “55/a” (with fastening holes for stop “51”) and put it on the related levelling base “S6/a”. Follow the same procedure for shoulder “55/b and related base “56/b”. 3) By means of screws “L” fasten the right conveyor beam. 4). Left conveyor assembly: put the shoulders “55/c” ad “55/d” on the related bases “S6/c” and “56/d 5) By means of screws “L” fasten the left conveyor beam. 6) Now, assembly no.52 glass pane resting slats “15” and no.4 rear spacers “38” (no.2 on the right conveyor and no. 2 on the left conveyor). 7) Level and align the conveyor by means of special levelling bases “56/a - S6/b - S6/c - S6/d"; then, fasten the bases to the floor by means of special holes. . 8) Connect the two belts “39 to the related pulleys “57”. Put them in tension, without exaggerating, by means of screws “M". 9) Mount the two carters in wood “58”. 10) Mount the abrasive material container “34” with related grid. 11) Check that the compressed air pipes, abrasive material and sand-blasting guns are in correct position. Furthermore, check that the manual gun "22" is inserted in the related support "37". (06.3 - COMPRESSED AIR CONNECTION Connect the machine to the compressed air intake with the 1/2" gas union "26 on the filter unit + pressure regulator next to the pneumatic control panel (fig. 3-4). Make sure that the air flow is enough to ensure constant operation at a pressure of 7-8 atm, by adjusting the pressure regulator “27” (fig. 4) so that the gauge “6” (fig. 3) reads 7:8 atm (102120 psip. The compressed air connecting hose should have an internal diameter of 12 mm (1/2") for a length of up to 5m ~ for greater lengths, increase the diameter of the connecting hose to ensure the quantity of compressed air required for proper operation. 06.4 - WIRING (fig. 4) Earthing is mandatory. Before wiring, make sure that your mains supply corresponds with the electrical data in the “SPECIFICATIONS* table on p. 5. WARNING: All operations must be carried ‘out by professionally qualified staff, who shall make sure that the cross section of the cables is right for the machine input. = Supply power to the electric panel “24. See electric panel sheet at page 29. ~ Connect power line “9” to connect the electric panel “24” to no.3 filter cleaning valves “45”. = Connect power line “10” to connect the electric panel “24” to the dust filter fan “40”. Then, check that the rotation sense of the fan “40™ is the one indicated with the arrow stamped on it. 26 1/2" gas union 7.8 Atm 102+120 Ss + Connect the micro-switch x-axle limit switch “51” to the last head of exit conveyor, by means of special holes prepared on the head itself. NOTE: Connection “9” and “10” should be inserted in the tubular element on the pipe “35”. IMPORTANT: After all connections, check that the rotation sense of all electric motors is the one indicated with the arrow stamped on each of them. Otherwise, change the connections carried out. Furthermore, check the correct rotation sense of the conveyor belt, enabling the control “33” located on the front door. 35° 4540 33 24 26 st
