What is a raster image?

What is a vector image?

Vectors use a different approach to image renderings. Instead of

using bitmap image data, this format is composed of paths
connected by points and curves dictated by mathematical
formulas. Due to their algorithmic makeup, vectors are infinitely
scalable and remain smooth and crisp even when sized up to
massive dimensions. Objects in vector images allow you to do
things that cannot be done with bitmap images, like scale them to
any size without loss of quality, adjust individual elements, and
using them to print, cut, sew, paint, or laser engrave.
