Description

The Camco* GA-2 Running Tool is a slickline service tool used to install 1” OD control
devices with integral bottom collet latches in KB series side pocket mandrels.
The GA-2 Running Tool is attached below the kickover tool in the slickline tool string
and the control device to be run is attached to the GA-2 Running Tool with brass
Shear Pins. Downward jarring with the tool string forces the control device into the
side pocket of the mandrel. Continued downward jarring shears both sets of two
Shear Pins to release the Running Tool from the control device running neck. The
GA-2 Running Tool can be used with either the L or K Series kickover tools or with
the O Series kickover tool.

1. Apply thread lubricant to the Adjusting Plunger
(1) and screw it into the Stabilizer (4) from the
unbeveled end.
2. Deform the first thread on the Plunger (1) to
prevent it from becoming unscrewed from the
Stabilizer.
3. Insert the Stabilizer and Plunger into the Body
(5).
4. Align the shear pin grooves in the Stabilizer (4)
with the tangential holes in the Body (5) and
insert the two brass Shear Pins (3). File the ends
flush with the Running Tool body.
5. Insert the two Roll Pins (2) in the Body below the
stabilizer pins and dress the ends as necessary.
