FORREST GUMP

Forrest Gump is a 1994 American comedy-drama film adapted from the novel of the
same name. It tells the life story of a retarded but kind-hearted man, Forrest Gump
throughout the candid history of the America. Not only it’s is directed by one of the most
skillful men of his time, Robert Zemeckis, but the movie also features the one and only
Hollywood star, Tom Hanks.
The plot includes the unfortunate circumstance of Forrest Gump. The main character
suffers the loss of his father, intellectual and physical disabilities, and the bully by the
nearby kids. Amid all the mess, a beautiful girl, Jenny Currant was present to balance the
scales. She helped Forrest Gump to break out of the current situation and eventually be
able to run without his leg braces. More events were to come and turn the world of a little
boy upside down before he can truly find his way to the ending of his story.
To describe the movie and all of its incredibility is not orthographically possible.
However, here are some main points that can be stressed and admired. The script is one
of the crucial parts that made the movie interesting and unpredictable. Twists are
abundant in the storyline. The two good and bad scenarios are intertwined representing
the message of hope and perseverance. The actor also did a very good job of perfectly
capturing and portraying the essence of a mental retarded. That’s why his role was one of
the charismatic points of the film. The female lead, even though not appearing much in
the movie, still triumph to grasp the audience attention whenever she takes up screen
time. Each gaze and gesture were splendidly introduced. It’s not overreacting to say that
she is the actual Jenny Currant. The motion pictures and the background music blend in
impeccably with each other. Moreover, the soundtrack concentrates on elevating the
movies but still keeps its originality. In other words, if the tunes stand alone, it will
remain its mesmerizing impression.
Even when you’re not a fan of classic movies, this particular one is guaranteed to be the
film you shouldn’t miss. The Oscar-winning movie isn’t up for debate whether it is
worthwhile or not, because the answer is already apparent. The film is critically claimed a
masterpiece, but also a great movie night for any individual. In short, there are no reasons
in procrastinating to enjoy this classic piece of art. Go ahead and enjoy two hours and
twenty-one minutes of happiness and optimism.
