REFLECTION: Reflect on your experience of the religious activity you participated in. Pick
a NATURAL PHENOMENON which you think best symbolizes your experience and explain.

The homily talked about discouragement. It talked about how we, people, easily
get discouraged when we encounter challenges in life. It also talked about how
impatient we are to the things that we want to achieve. I have realized that oftentimes
we are also the ones who discourage ourselves. We compare ourselves to others and we
become insecure but we do not realize that we all have our own pace and we all have
God’s plan for each and everyone of us. The sad truth is, we see how big our problem is
but we don’t see how big our God is. Sometimes, we already have the blessing but we
still choose to complain when what we should be doing is just thanking Him. We should
learn to wait and do not be impatient because nothing worth having comes easy.

A NATURAL PHENOMENON that I have chosen is a sunrise. For me, sunrise symbolizes
hope. No matter how many times we get discouraged, it reminds us that every day,
there is a new hope because the sun will rise and we will try again.
