INTRODUCTION

COVID-19 has a major impact on the political, economic, social, health and education
systems, thus having an impact on the employment sector. The temporary closure of
businesses resulted in many companies not being able to cover the cost of expenses,
including employee salaries so they had to lay off employees. In the context of the new
dimension of urban poverty, COVID-19 affecting the income of many parties, including losing
a job or earning half pay. Although the government has provided assistance to those in need
but still not enough to help them cover all their budgets. Therefore, we as one of the non -
governmental organizations, have taken various initiatives to help those who lost their income
as a result of being affected by this covid pandemic.

FIVE WAYS TO HELPING COVID 19 MALAYSIANS

Our party will put more emphasis on helping small businesses because most small businesses
do not have the credit, capital and knowledge to continue their business. Here are five ways
we use

1. PROVIDING BUSINESS PROMOTION TO THE PUBLIC

In business, promotion is communication that tries to influence people to buy a product or

service. Businesses generally promote their brands, products, and services by identifying
target audiences and finding ways to deliver their message to those audiences. Therefore I
as one of the NGOs will promote their business by involving MATRADE and MASA agencies
i.e. including setting up social media, improving in terms of packaging and advertising in
electronic media.

2. PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial aid is any type of monetary aid or assistance received by a person, organization, or
government. Financial assistance may be in the form of guarantees, loans, cost -sharing
arrangements, subsidies, or welfare payments. reducing the company’s burden to pay
employee salaries.
Tabung Ekonomi Kumpulan Usaha Niaga (TEKUN)

• TEKUN is regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro -based Industry in helping
to channel capital to new and old traders. It is special for bumiputera entrepreneurs
who are interested only and qualified with the conditions.

3. PROVIDING HELP TO GROW BUSINESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Do Business Online

• Many entrepreneurs in Malaysia continued their business online during PKP. In fact,
this method is nothing new. Many entrepreneurs in Malaysia take advantage of this
method including promoting sales products on digital platforms such as Instagram,
Shopee , Facebook and other e-hailing platfom.

Appear in a new way

• Looking at the current situation, traders also face challenges to ensure that their sales
products remain relevant. As such, when PKP we witness a variety of sales strategies,
including creative ways of advertising performed by company owners. Some take
advantage of social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

Implement E-Wallet and Cashback payment methods

• The method of payment also changed after the PKP was implemented. Many
entrepreneurs take the initiative to transform their business, this includes payment
methods.
4. WRITE A REVIEW

A review is judgement or discussion of the quality of something. Review also means to go over
a subject again as part of study or to look at something another time. A review is a critique of
something—a look at something's good and bad points.
Benefits of Review

• Adding value to what is already happening

• Become more alert and responsive
• The more reviews you have, the more convinced a shopper will be that they’re making
the right decision

5. PROVIDING DELIVERY SERVICES

Delivery service is one of the easy ways to help small businesses where it can make it easier
for users to order even from home through the delivery app. In addition, pick -up or delivery
orders allow users to support small business employees by giving generous tips. Therefore,
we as one of the non -governmental organizations will cooperate with Grab company in terms
of delivery services by doing various programs. Among the programs implemented are

The Small-Biz Digital Grab (GDS) program aims to help small businesses.. Grab is
encouraging users to donate to various NGOs and charities using their GrabRewards points
through the app. Each redemption of 600 GrabRewards points will translate to a donation of
RM5 to an organisation of their choice.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, there are various initiatives taken by us as an NGO to help Malaysians who lose
income and affected by covid 19. Among the actions taken include marketing their business
to the public through promotion, electronic media and advertising. Then provide financial
assistance for survival. Besides. helping businesses on social media to move forward. The
next step is to make comments as a step to be better. Finally use delivery services to facilitate
business. we will strive to help the affected malaysians as well as help the malaysian economy
recover.
