**CAUTION: When adding a carrier to an existing MCC1 system. Is the cabinet MCC or GMCC ?
Not knowing can deliver the wrong carrier power supplies, 631A / 631B MCC vs 649 GMCC. The
Global Multi-Carrier Cabinet (GMCC) with the single 649A Carrier Power Supply began shipping with
Definity R7, May 1999. Visual verification of Power Supply type and Cabinet type is recommended.
 S87XX Multi-Connect cannot support the G600, IP600, G3csi and Definity One cabinets as
Gateways prior to CM3. Only MCC1, SCC1, G650, S8300LSP/G700, S8300LSP/G350, G700 and
G350 Media Gateways prior to CM3.
 S87XX IP Connect supports only G600, G650, S8300LSP/G700, S8300LSP/G350, G700 and
G350 Media Gateways prior to CM3. New S87XX CM 3.1.1 systems can only be designed with
G650 Gateways as the Port Networks. S87XX IP Connect cannot MIX G600’s and G650’s in the
same port network stack.
