In my previous organization, I have worked as a Business Development Executive.

My job is to reach
out to students through cold calling, pitch the online study plan which best suites them and close on
the sale.

SITUATION: The company is very new to the education industry. It’s been only 2 years since it was
started back then and they were in a really bad phase during the early stage. But we progressively
overcame all the issues. Students still are worried about the reviews like poor functioning of the
interface, no timely response from mentors, and outdated study plan. As a result we could not
generate potential leads.

TASK: My task is to work on overcoming this problem by making students believe about the current
scenario, plan activities to build trust among them and also to bring a rise in the number of leads
generated.

ACTION: Introduced free weekly webinars by collaborating with highly professional mentors to give
suggestions and feedbacks to aspiring students. Increased the number of student testimonials on
the website to attract students. Free profile evaluation is done for selected students with excellent
academic background. Students who are worried about the bad reviews are made to talk to our
previous students who tasted success with our study program.

RESULT: As a result, increase in leads is observed and we slowly saw a rise in the number of students
preferring our product. They also started to refer our program to their friends. This way, the
company revenue has also increased and students who doubted about our programs performed
well in their examinations.
