Diagnostic Mode
Welcome to the Dell Community , I am Praveen from Dell Social media out reach team.
1) Hold down the up and down arrow buttons on the printer and power the printer on.
2) Release your fingers from the keys when the message Diagnosing... appears.
3) When Customer Mode and IOT Diag are displayed, press the select button to choose DIOT
Diag.
5) Press the up or down arrow button to scroll to DI-2, then press the select button .
7) Check the sensor by rotating the grate back and forth. The number increases by 1 every time
you do this
10) When the display changes to DI-2 Off, turn the printer off then back on to leave the
diagnostic menu and return to normal printer functions.
Note : If the number doesnt increase by 1 every time you rotate the grate then it means the fuser
is faulty and must be replaced

I would like to know if the paper jam occurs only when printing multiple page or even when
printing single page document.
Because we suspect the Integrated Feeder Assembly or the Main Drive Assembly
1) Hold down the up and down arrow buttons on the printer and power the printer on.
2) Release your fingers from the keys when the message Diagnosing... appears.
3) When Customer Mode and IOT Diag are displayed, press the select button to choose DIOT
Diag.
5) Press the up or down arrow button to scroll to DI-3, then press the select button .
6)When DI-3 L 0 appears on the display, remove the 250-sheet paper tray.
7)Insert a piece of paper into the paper path of the registration assembly. The number increases
by 1 every time you do this
10) When the display changes to DI-3 Off, turn the printer off then back on to leave the
diagnostic menu and return to normal printer functions.
