Observation
The characters in the story have a touch of Greek Mythology where there are gods,
demi gods, monstrous and mythical creatures. Some of the characters are full of mysteries and
some are of unknown. The character’s especially Percy Jackson is wonderful in comes of his
powers and his story about being the son of the god of the endless sea “Poseidon”.

Why are there several characters that are not needed in the story?

Observation
The theme is all about identity and about discovering identity. Also the theme has a
touch of courage. Percy exhibits courage throughout the entire book, whether his battling double
his size or hydra (multi headed dragon).
