ABSTRACT
P eace is constituted as the most important priority in Colombia. War and the pres-
ence of insurgents in several territories in the country, have created an insurgent
order, an alternative order, where a set of values, institutions and relationships or-
ganize the daily life of communities which, despite state violence, survive and some,
even prosper. The results of a research focused on the transformation of the insur-
gent order in the Territorial Training and Reincorporation Spaces (in Spanish: ETCR)
in the Southwestern of Colombia are shown in this paper: Tumaco and Policarpa in
the department of Nariño; Caldono, Miranda and Buenos Aires, in the department
of Cuca, and Pinadas in the South of Tolima. Especially, the outcomes of the Peace

Agreement, signed in 2016, are revealed in public of their implementation with the

The methodology named “visual sociology” was adopted to reach the objective of

The results show the day-to-day world of communities of former combatants and
their willingness to try a new territorial and associative beginning, after their travel
