The Kiavura rift is a subsector located on the far northern reaches of the Ultima

Segmentum. The sector had never been contacted by the imperium as intermittent
warpstorms secluded it. It's people had fallen prey to the clutches of the ruinous
powers and daemons ran abound. Especially powerful was one greater deamon the locals
called Grandpappy Pus. This daemon effectively ran one world as it's own personal
domain. A crusade was organised led by several preceptories of the Valorous Heart
order militant and regiments of the Imperial Guard. A great war raged in it's various
systems, the sisters attacking with utmost prejudice where the daemons and heretics
where at it's strongest. The fate of the entire crusade was determined in what is now
known as the Battle of the Divine Flame, where the depleted forces of the Adeptus
Sororitas launched an all-out assault against Grandpappy Pus's domain. The battle
received it's name from the duel between the Great Unclean One and a Palatine named
Palmenya. Palmenya had been leading various commanderies throughout the war and all
of her sisters knew she was truly blessed by the God Emperor, as no matter how
dangerous the situation and how grievous her wounds, she always emerged victorious.
In that duel, her most potent and final miracles would occur. Not much is known of
the duel in itself but it is said by those who were there that her sword emitted
flames and that she had the power to burst her surroundings in flames. Legend says
that in her final moments she thrusted her sword inside the daemons head and pleaded
the Emperor to use her own soul and Faith to vanquish the foe. She burst in flames so
potent and powerful that everything in a wide area around herself and the daemon was
burnt to ashes. After this battle, the remaining forces of chaos found themselves
scattered and were easy pickings for the forces of the Imperium. After the war ended,
the Echlessiarchy declared Palmenya a Living Saint and the Valorous Heart decided to
fund a new Order Minoris in honor of the great crusade and Palmenya's sacrifice. The
new Order would be called The Order of the Divine Flame.
