Overview of the Anxiety of Nurses Who Have the Elderly in the Covid-19
Pandemic Period at the Lahat District Health Center in 2021

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a health crisis in the world because it spreads
very quickly, this can cause anxiety for nurses, because this disease is very risky
for vulnerable groups, especially those who have the elderly. This study aims to
determine the level of anxiety of nurses who have elderly during the Covid-19
pandemic at the Lahat District Health Center. This study uses a descriptive
analytic design, the number of samples is 73 people with a total sampling
technique. Data was collected using the HRS-A 14 (Hamilton Rating Scale for
Anxiety) questionnaire which was distributed to respondents while still observing
the health protocol. The results showed that the level of anxiety of nurses who had
elderly during the covid-19 pandemic at the Perumnas Health Center experienced
more mild anxiety 80.8%, moderate anxiety 17.3% severe anxiety 1.9% at
Tanjung Tebat Health Center mild anxiety as much as 52.4 % and 42,9%
moderate anxiety and 4,8% severe anxiety. It is recommended for nurses to
always think positively, change mindsets, behavior, and always open up to add
insight and knowledge that can be accessed through print and electronic media
and the internet and start fun physical activities. It is also expected that the agency
will monitor the mental health problems of nurses related to feelings of anxiety
during the Covid-19 pandemic.

ABSTRAK

Pandemi Covid-19 telah menjadi krisis kesehatan di dunia karena penyebaran

sangat cepat, hal ini dapat menimbulkan kecemasan pada perawat, karena
penyakit ini sangat berisiko terhadap kelompok rentan terutama mereka yang
mempunyai lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan
perawat yang mempunyai lansia dimasa pandemi Covid-19 di Puskesmas
Kabupaten Lahat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif analitik, jumlah
sampel sebanyak 73 orang dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data
dilakukan dengan kuesioner HRS-A 14 (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety) yang
dibagikan kepada Responden dengan tetap memperhatikan Protokol kesehatan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan di tingkat kecemasan perawat yang mempunyai
lansia dimasa pandemi covid-19 di Puskesmas Perumnas lebih banyak mengalami
kecemasan ringan 80,8%, kecemasan sedang 17,3% kecemasan berat 1,9% di
Puskesmas Tanjung Tebat kecemasan ringan sebanyak 52,4% dan kecemasan
sedang 42,9% dan kecemasan berat 4,8 %. Disarankan pada perawat untuk selalu
berfikiran positif, mengubah pola pikir, perilaku, dan selalu membuka diri untuk
menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan yang bisa diakses melalui media cetak
maupun elektronik dan internet serta memulai aktivitas fisik yang menyenangkan.
Serta diharapkan pada instansi untuk memantau masalah kesehatan mental
perawat terkait adanya perasaan cemas selama masa Pandemi Covid-19.
