Referring to the previous chosen company as an example for Mission Statement & Strategies
employed (Organizational & Functional), identify and discuss the following the Main Factors
Considered by the company (Internal & External).

Company Name: Mcdonald’s

External Factors Considerations Made


1. Political One of their Political factors is that they increased their
International trade agreements which led to many great
opportunities to Mcdonald’s International trade and
relationships to other nations.
2. Economic Their Economic factors that contributed to the growth of
Mcdonald’s are nations with slow but stable economic
growth, Mcdonald’s saw this opportunity to help and grow
with these developing countries that are increasing their
economic growth everyday.
3. Socio-Cultural Mcdonald’s is taking advantage rising disposable incomes
within its community. The purchasing power of the masses
might be increasing and people opt to purchase cooked food
dine in/take-out rather than cooking food at home, this
might an easier way for people to live rather than doing the
cooking themselves.
4. Technological Technology have been advancing this 21st century.
Automation is being implemented in very big businesses just
like Mcdonald’s they make sure that they are not behind with
technology to serve their customers better. It also helps
Mcdonald’s grow as a 21 st century business model and help
stabilize its growth.
5. Environmental Overall the environmental factors that shall affect
Mcdonald’s are the instances within and outside the
company as stated in this part of the question.
6. Legal Many nations have been implementing Animal Welfare
regulations and it might affect fast food chains, for
Mcdonald’s this is a great opportunity to find alternative
ways to produce for example chicken without using chicken
itself. This is also a threat to Mcdonald’s because mainly it
will affect sales which is an integral part and the essence of
running a business.
7. Competition It is inevitable to have competitors, in the business industry
it’s either you be the first or the last but mcdonalds have
been very creative with the way they market their brand and
it is doing a good job to have loyal customers stay loyal to
their brand.
8. Market Mdonalds’ target market is literally anyone today, but to be
more specific their targets are young kids, teenagers, adults,
employees, and many more. Mainly those who really want or
need a quick bite going to work or going wherever they want.

1. Products and services Mcdonald’s wants to be well ahead of its competitors in
terms of innovation. We can see that Mcdonalds have
continuously been innovating and releasing new variants of
products by country, every country has its own menu and I
thinks that is their meaning of being ahead of their
competitors.
2. Customers (Market) Mcdonalds success depends on the strength of how
Mcdonalds keep its customers loyal. They are also seeking
new ways to attract new customers that are loyal to
mcdonald’s competitors.
3. Human resources Mcdonalds HR department plays an integral role in their
operations. Mcdonald’s HR sole purpose is to provide
support for their workers, knowing what they need in the
workplace and providing it for them. They are also
committed in having strong and resilient employees who will
get the job done for them.
4. Financial resources Mcdonalds mainly gets income from franchising, which is
what Ray Kroc implemented when he convinced the
Mcdonald’s brothers to expand Mcdonalds nationwide in the
USA.
5. Facilities and equipment Mcdonalds maintaines cleanliness and sanitation in the
workplace, be it in the kitchen or in the dining area where
customers have their happy meal. They are committed in
providing a safe and clean place for their customers.
6. Technology Mcdonalds have been keeping up with new technologies
around the world. They have implemented self-ordering
kiosks, mobile applications and etc., The kiosks have been big
for Mcdonalds since it really had customers curious to use it.
Even thought there were no new products at the time the
kiosks were implemented, just the curiosity of using it made
customers go and have a happy meal with mcdonalds.
7. Suppliers Suppliers also plays a vital role in the operation of a food
business. In the case of Mcdonalds, they make sure that they
maintain a good relationship with their suppliers. Mcdonalds
should always be aware of any changes with their suppliers
so as to be always ready for any unexpected scenarios in the
future.

1. Political The firm will follow and obey government policies
considering that rules and regulations are being altered by
the government that effects the business. This includes tax
policies, labor law and environmental law. By this principle,
the firm will stabilize office environment where people feel
safe to come to work, to be themselves and to go about their
business.
2. Economic In terms of inflation rates, the firm is considering the changes
of demand and supply in the country. This factor can affect
the firm because in supply and demand, they determine the
prices and quantities of most goods and services available in
a given market.
3. Socio-Cultural As per the business demographics in the business plan, the
data shows the common attitudes towards food products
wherein the location (Molino I-IV) has high purchasing power
that enables the business to cater huge markets. The
business considers this customer's behavior to understand
what influences the consumer’s buying decision.
4. Technological The firm is considering of having advance tools and
machineries for production that enables the firm to be more
agile and responsive as business needs change. This can also
increase efficiency and productivity, which is our advantage
to our potential competitors. The partners want to be
technical aware for the business to grow in terms of technical
advancement.
5. Environmental On the Go will conduct a thorough policy on waste
management to maintain cleanliness and maintain the
practice of environmental responsibilities. The company will
adopt 3R rules (reduce, reuse and recycle) since the business
is considering in mitigating the use of plastics waste to
prevent pollution.
6. Legal On the Go expected to make a major contribution to the
government through legal tax payments that includes paying
taxes, licenses and other permits to operate a business. The
firm also considers to contribute for the improvement of the
country’s economy which is the primary responsibility of a
business owner.
7. Competition One of the firm’s threats is competition wherein there are
reputable stores that offer that is somehow the same to our
products in physicals stores specifically 7/11, Family Mart,
and Lawson. Since the business is operated online, one of the
first step that the business is considering is spreading
information regarding our business, products, and services
for the awareness of the consumers. Second, the business
will offer superior value of product and services to its
consumer to meet satisfaction. We believe that this strategy
will be our edge to other competitors.
8. Market Based on the business plan, the demographics shows that in
Molino I-IV (potential location if lockdowns are lifted), it
consists of different socio-economic classes and the firm also
considering its main target market which are the upper-
middle class, middle class, working-lower, and even the last
class listed in the socio-economic classes. The data results
that majority of the said location has the firm’s target
market.
Internal Factors Considerations Made
1. Products and services One of the primary factors in our product is the design,
features, and benefits. The product provides convenience to
the customer wherein they can consume it in a short period
because of its small type of product. It also provides the
nutrients that an individual must need for the day. These
considerations can help workers or even students to be
convenient in eating even in their hectic schedules.
2. Customers (Market) On the Go provides high-quality products its customers.
Customer satisfaction is the number one concern of the
business to be able to achieve good relationships between
our potential customers.
3. Human resources Since the business’ organizational structure is a hierarchical
organization led by the CEO. Meaning, all decisions are to be
made by him/her, but the decision would be created by the
suggestions and approval of other partners. The firm
considers that all said members share all ideas, assets, and
liabilities within the firm and profits are distributed equally
among the group.
4. Financial resources Since all of the partners agreed to invest for the business to
grow, the partners also considering having securities such as
shares and bonds for the profits to grow even more.
5. Facilities and equipment The business is considering the equipment used in the
production will depreciates its value and has a life span. The
partners agreed that every equipment has its reserved
replacement for the operation to still continue. As for the
facilities, sanitation and cleanliness are established since the
business are considering the safety of the employees and
also the consumers.
6. Technology Since the business will conduct online due to this pandemic,
it can be operated anytime by the selected admins and it has
no opening time restrictions. But one of the major impacts
that might affect this type of operation is the internet
connectivity. The business are considering sharing of internet
connection from the members from their respective homes
since every member is capable in handling the business
online page.
7. Suppliers The firm will support small businesses that have the supplies
that are needed for our business operation. By making this
relationship, both the company will benefit and grow that
will establish good relationships to other industries, and it is
also an investment to the company to have good ties with
other companies.
