CHAPTER V

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

CONCLUSION

In this part the researchers want to summarize the goals that we

set at the beginning. We the researchers focus on the differences

between the 21st and Traditional way of teaching. The researchers

conducted this research because we give importance on our education

especially on what strategies that educators and teachers use to help

the students and/or learners for more effective learning. Education is

not restricted by age, gender, or distance. It has become more accessible

and affordable. Teachers and educators now have the technology and

resources to deal with the mundane tasks of teaching and focus on

nurturing their students better. Each teacher has their own strategy on

how they teach students easily but effectively. They can use latest data

analysis techniques to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each

student in their class and pull the study curriculum to incorporate their

experiences and reality in education. By that, educators embrace

change and pass on the flame to the next generation.

To come up with this research, the researchers set goal to study

theoretical literature, give questions to people, talk to them and carry

out an interview to compare the result of the two strategies (Traditional

and 21st Century).

The researcher gathered literature on this topic. We looked for

literature on internet. We found a lot of literature but in different

perspectives. There are cites which mention traditional method, but

most of them do it in negative context. This might be because it is

natural to people to present new things better than the old ones, or

maybe the authors wanted to encourage teachers to use the modern

methodology and avoid the traditional teaching.

The researchers also gather data for our research paper by means

of questionnaires. We prepared 9 questions that will really help us and

provide a rich source of information for our paper. Respondents

expressed various notions and opinions in which of the two strategies is

more effective. Among the two strategies, most respondent answered 21 st

Century way of teaching as the most effective strategy.

One of our most important goals was the interview. We the

researchers conducted an interview because it is very useful to obtain

detailed information about personal feelings, perceptions and opinions.

Respondents allow more detailed questions to be asked and it help the

researchers discover how individuals think and feel about a topic and

why they hold certain opinions. By interviewing people about our topic,

we the researchers had a chance to know more about their opinions and

perspectives. We don’t just listen to them but we learned a lot from

them. While asking them what is the most effective teaching strategies,

we got a lot of information that we can add to our research. A lot of

respondents answered 21st Century way of teaching as the most effective

strategy.

The research indicates that for learners, 21st Century teaching

strategy is more motivating than Traditional teaching strategy.

Especially for children, motivation is a vital aspect of education because

there is a lot of schooling ahead of them. From this research it seems

that traditional and modern method brings a good result to learners, but

21st Century way of teaching is more effective in encouraging students to

communicate and in creating a positive attitude to the subject because

the attention is not just on the teachers but also on the students. Since

it appears that motivation is one of the most important aspects of

children’s education, we might conclude that 21st Century way of

teaching is most effective than Traditional way of teaching.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Given the preceding data, findings and analysis, the researchers

propose the following recommendations:

To the future researchers,

The researchers recommend to make further study to improve the

research such as spend a long time to find information about the topic,

increase the number of the respondents to have wide source of

information and using of tools to do the task easily to provide more

accurate results that proves more details about the comparison between

traditional and 21st Century way of teaching. The researchers also

recommend to find every aspects of comparison between 21 st century

way and traditional way of teaching such as the results and effects and

also the researchers highly recommend to look on both sides of the

teaching styles to be more accurate and avoid any bias sides.
