Ta’rin Halfblade

Age: 65

A grizzled warrior known among his brothers-at-arms as Halfblade for having defeated a squad
of 5 gigants using a broken gigant short sword he picked up in the heat of battle during the
defense of Ishrak Bay.

He was just a child when his village was raided by the humans. His older brother died defending
him from the slave-raiders. He was taken and later on sold to the King’s Army along with three
other children from his village. From a young age, he was trained to fight for the King’s Army
where he steadily rose in the ranks to become part of the Anvil, an elite group of soldiers who
personally train with the King’s Hammer himself, as a Forward Scout.

During one of his missions, he rescued a human farmer’s daughter, Elize, from a savage Drezna
who slaughter her whole family. With nowhere else to go, Tar offered to let Elle stay in his
house until she got her bearings. Eventually, a love blossomed between them and a half-blood
child was born of their union, Kell’rin. Unfortunately, Elle passed away when Kell was just a
child, leaving Tar to raise her alone.

Personality: Well-travelled yet world weary, Tar prefers to spend his time doing something
productive rather than laze around. However, he would not refuse a keg of ale or beer should
the offer arise. While a good provider for his family, he had no idea how to be a father, having
been raised by the army.
