SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presented the summary of findings, conclusion,

recommendations and the proposed reading module.

Summary

This study determines the history, goals, programs, agreements or

practices of a Youth for Christ organizational chapter. The respondents of this

study were yfc members, leaders and coordinators of the two chosen chapters

which are the Tambacan and Dona Maria Sub Division. The instrument used

was questionnaire and interview. The researcher utilized the interview

design/method to determine the history, goals, programs, advocacies,

agreements or practices of a Youth for Christ organizational chapter. The

statistical instruments of the study were frequency and percentage.

From the data gathered, the following were the findings of the study:

1. Majority of the respondents constituted aged 13 to 15.

2. The majority of the respondents were female.

3. The majority of the respondents are catholic

4. The majority of the number of years in membership is 4 to 1

5. Most of the respondents are members of Youth For Christ

6. The mission of the YfC is “Building the church of the home, building the
church of the poor”

7. The vision of YfC is “Young people being and bringing Christ wherever they

are”

.8. Youth for Christ wasn’t established before. It started/it was from the

Couples for Christ Community itself. Over the years, family ministry was

established which includes the singles for Christ, the youth for Christ, kids for

Christ, hold and servants of the lord. From then yfc was built and is still

present until now.

9. Base on the study of Dr. Deyo (2014) on April 17, 1944 Torrey Johnson

called Doug Fisher, hired him, and plans for Chicago land YFC were begun.

The opening rally for Chicago land YFC was held in Orchestra Hall on May 27,

1944 with Billy Graham speaking to over 2000 people. They packed that hall

out every Saturday night for 21 weeks after that with an average of 2500

people. Preachers that summer included Harry Ironside, Jim Rayburn, Walter

Wilson, Wendell Loveless, V. R. Edman, and R. G. LeTourneau. On October 21,

1944 a Victory Rally was held in the Chicago Stadium with over 20,000 people.

10. One of the founders of YfC organization are CFC-Couples for Christ, Torrey

Johnson and Joe Tale.

11. One of the programs that can be found in the YfC organization are

households, assemblies, pastoral formation, evangelization rally, night of

music, conferences and etc.

12. There are 4 major advocacies found in the organization based on the

results given, the greeneration, A+, 100% pure and free and lastly the Rev Up.

13. Youth for Christ organization are consisting of many goals in molding

spiritual life.

14. Goals such as the 4 principle which is the 4 F’s (fun, freedom, friendship,

faith), nurture personality, build confidence, develop leadership, help the poor,

care for nature, excellence in study and enhance socialization skill.

15. Results of the two chapters were not that the same but are related to each

other for it has connections.

16. Results were gained and the aim of the study was achieve through the

gathered data.

Conclusion

Based on the mentioned findings, the researcher concluded that the YfC

organization wasn’t established before. It started/it was from the Couples for

Christ Community itself. Over the years, family ministry was established which

includes the singles for Christ, the youth for Christ, kids for Christ, hold and

servants of the lord. From then yfc was built and is still present until now. The

organization consist of different goals in nurturing the young minds of the

youth. The 4 F’s principle which stands for fun, freedom, friendship and faith,

building self-confidence, nurturing personality, developing leadership skill,

helping the poor not literally poor but poor in spiritual aspects, loving nature,
excellence in study and enhancing socialization skill are expected to be

experienced by the youths in making their journey to the Lord. In

strengthening the faith of the youths, the organization implements different

programs like youth camp which is the very first ceremony of being a YfC,

pastoral formations, conferences, assemblies, households and etc. Every

member of the Youth for Christ has the duty to bring Christ wherever they go

as stated on their vision. Thus with the effectiveness of this organization, the

future of the youths will be safe and will be better.

Recommendation

In view of the findings and conclusions of the study, the following

recommendations were drawn:

To the Parents

That they may allow their children to involve themselves in religious

practices or activities for a better understanding about faith which is very

important specially in this new generation. That they may provide background

information about religious practices to their children.

To the YFC Leaders

That they may provide persuasive information about the organization

that youths must be convinced to involve in religious practices as a way of

limiting the issues about the arising reports of youth’s misbehavior. That

the leaders must be active in producing activities that aims in changing

different lives turning it into a better one.

To the Future Researchers

 That they may conduct future researches related to YfC organization

specially to the culture, behavior and communication style which was not

included in the study. They may come up with more informations about the

whole story of this organization and how do the youths inside this organization

interact with each other specially to their leaders.
