II. Age Restriction:

A Grade: born on or after 1st January 2003
B Grade: born on or after 1st January 2006
C Grade: born on or after 1st January 2008
III. Events:
A. Individual Events:
a) Track Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100m Hurdles (跨欄).
b) Field Events: High jump (跳高), Long jump (跳遠), Shot Put (推鉛球), Discus Throw (擲鐵餅),
Javelin Throw (擲標槍).
B. Order of Track Events: (TBC)
a) Heats day:
Track Events: 100m Hurdles, 400m, 100m, 200m, 100m (SF).
b) Finals day:
Track Events: 100m, 400m, Prize Presentation (I), 100m Hurdles, 200m, 800M, Prize Presentation (II)
IV. Entry:
Students may take part in a maximum of one two individual events.
Please fill in the necessary information in the reply slip for entry.
Entry form should be filled in by 12:00 noon on 11 th October 2021.

V. Selection for Track Finals

a) We will set a semi-final in case there are more than 120 entries in 100m. The 24 best times in heats will be
qualified for semi-final. If the number of participants is more than 80 but below 120, the sixteen participants
with the best time will be admitted to the semi-finals.
b) The 8 best times in heats/semi-finals will be qualified for Final.
c) If 8 or less competitors turn up to the reporting area for any event, the event will be declared a straight final.

VI. Selection for Field Finals

a) A qualifying round shall be held for field events in DGS if the number of athletes is too large. The organizer
may determine the total number of trials which an athlete may attempt, depending on the total athletes for
that event. When a qualifying round is held, all athletes shall compete in, and qualify through, that round.
Performances accomplished in qualifying round shall not be considered as part of the competition proper.
b) The conditions for qualifying, the qualifying standard and the number of athletes in the final, shall be
decided by the PE Department. There should be at least 12 athletes in the Final for Long Jump Event and 8
athletes in the Final for Throw Events.
 c) The qualifying standard for Long jump Event is 3.70M, Shot Put is 7.00M and for other Throwing Events are
15.00M.
VII. Scoring system:
a) 1 point will be awarded to the respective house of each participant in each event.
b) 1 point will be deducted from each house for every one "no-show" entries during 1st round.
c) 1 Standard point will be given for those who can achieve the standard in individual events.

VIII Prizes
a) Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each event.
b) Trophies will be awarded to A, B and C grade individual champions.
c) Cups will be presented to the A grade champion, B grade champion, C grade champion and overall
champion houses.
