Go to the Online Australia Scholarships Information System (OASIS). When you register online, you will be required to answer
some questions to establish your eligibility. You will then be given a unique registration number, username and password.
You do not need to submit your application immediately. You can set up a draft application form and update it, and your
supporting documentation, until the designated closing date as on the relevant participating country profile.
Once submitted, your application cannot be changed. We strongly advise applicants applying online to do so well before the
closing date. OASIS experiences peak usage in the days leading up to the closing date and applicants may experience delays.

How Your Proposed Study Relates to a Particular Development Challenge or Need at the Global, National, or
Local Level
This part of your DIS should reflect your in-depth knowledge of a particular development need across the world
or in your country/community while showing how it is closely linked to your proposed masters programme.
How Your Proposed Study Relates to Development Issues and Challenges in Your Sector .
This component is similar to the above, but is “sector-specific”. It requires you to demonstrate how your
proposed masters programme intersects with development challenges in the sector you already work in or hope
to work in after your studies —
How You Will Apply Your New Skills and Qualifications When You Return Home
Simply put, it is important that your DIS states what your end goal is: What do you plan to do with your
proposed masters degree in your home country? Again, you need to be as specific as possible! Will you be
motivated to continue a development project, return to improve your current organisation with certain skills,
acquire the skills necessary to start a business or even run for political office? This is where you provide a
snapshot of what you hope to do immediately after completing your proposed masters programme
The Outcomes that You Aim to Achieve and the Time-frame for their Implementation
Here, you may state any time-bound goals (linked to development) that you are keen to achieve upon your return
