RESEARCH OVERVIEW:

In this study, we aim to know on how the sellers catch the buyers attention and satisfaction in terms of
choosing product. Our target respondents were aged 16-18 years old Senior High School student of STI College
Quezon Avenue. In this dynamic era of marketing revolution and impact of marketing activities on the life of a
common individual, people became more brand conscious in most of the products. Before deciding to
purchase a product, consumers associate product with some particular factor including quality, performance,
features and at times to country of origin.
This trend is most of the time attributed to the freedom of mobility at the result of globalization and
technological advancement, since the trend of consumption by our people is changing, people are becoming
more prone to buying the international brands rather than the local ones. Consumers feel proud in purchasing
imported goods and this has increased the power of international brands. Apart from just focusing on where
the product has actually been produced, consumers consider various other factors when making purchasing
decisions. It has been noted that consumers are reluctant to buy goods made in less developed countries as
they perceive them to be low in quality. Brands have also been perceived as being a status symbol and this
thinking is most common in young people. Thus, sometimes, goods which are imported become cheaper and
of better quality than the locally produced ones. Along with this trend, there the controversy whether it is
right to give priority to imported goods over locally produced ones on the basis of price and quality.
