Ian Stewart’s book of nature's numbers states a lot about the mathematical universe a

mathematician is able to see. Mathematics allows human to open their eyes to new and unsuspected

regularities happening in nature. It has the power to enable human mind to develop a thought of

recognizing, classifying and exploiting patterns as well as the patterns that may seem irregular. The

connection between the nature's patterns, forms, processes, and structures compose the theme/motif of the

The book begins by explaining how what seems to be a dream could turn out as a reality. At the

latter part of the story, these patterns are further elaborated and additional examples are given by the

nature. Various examples were given by the author but those were just the tip of an iceberg. There are still

life. It does not only talks about numbers or numerical figures but it talks about movements, geometric

natural parameters that determine processes in the universe including development, hereditary qualities
