Intro- The natural numbers are used for three main purposes: for counting, for ordering, and for
defining other concepts. Counting is the natural way to measure the quantity of a set of several
discrete, individually identifiable objects. To count a specific set of objects using the natural
numbers, you must simply assign one and only one natural number to one element of the group
of objects, starting with one.
My summary -This book has enlightened me more.

Introduction towards nature and patterns. Patterns of form and Patterns of movement that we can
easily relate with example given, stars moves across the sky, Stripes on Zebra tiger we see this
things and animals to our lives, movements of animals all of this happens with patterns would
you believe it? I did not at first but Patterns showed beauty the benefit. You will be lucky to
study patterns you will be able to see its resemblance to our day to day lives. How an
complicated nature can work trough patterns. Patterns are repeated design or coming sequence.
A ordered set of numbers, shapes and other mathematical objects that are arranged according to
a rule. A lot of mathematicians chased their dreams and continue to see that math can be applied
into everything it continued even they were out of major advances in the mathematical world.
For 200 years, calculus was used very well in physics but as years goes by each mathematician
still tried to look for more evidences for each has their critical thinking skills. Each has a say for
others theories the domain experts, be it physicists , chemists, scientists and plenty more.
Leaving them to question HOW and WHY this study are facts an example is a snail develops a
spiral shell, mathematician will be interested in the ways a spiral is formed whereas how the
snail makes the shell is matter of genetics or chemistry. Math is easier if we think of it like it
is a story a continues and never-ending one. If one study can be applied and can a tell
an effective story using some tools, that is what Math is all about.
