Aspects of reality and talent TV shows

Television shows consists in entertainment programme broadcasted on TV, usually released

in episodes or live, and they can include a variety of content from educational materials to
entertainment shows. Reality and talent show in particular are shows in which ordinary people are
filmed in order to entertain the viewers.

First of all, the purpose of these shows is rather to entertain, than to inform or educate.
Therefore, the content of these programmes usually includes jokes, funny reactions and sometimes
mild language which amuses the viewers and normally don’t do any harm. The people who take part
in these shows are generally regular people, but not entirely, because there will always be an
professional anchor whose purpose is to create drama and make the show more addictive.
Occasionally the directors might include paid actors to higher the quality of the shows.
One negative aspect of these shows is the fact that their content does not have necessarily a
good influence on the young viewers who watch them and encourages them to admire the silliness
which is generally granted. Critics also disapprove with the influence it has on the regular people
who take part in these shows. Their experience in the programme might be exciting, but when they
return to their normal life, they will realise that they won’t be able to have the same life as before
and that the most of the people will lose their admiration for them.
In conclusion, TV shows are not necessarily damaging if viewed for fun with friends, but can
become addictive in which case their negative influence is higher than the positive aspect.
