Dear Committee Members:

I am writing this letter with the intent of referring one of my previous students, Ms. Aika,
as she is currently applying to participate in the JET Program. As a background, I am
Aika’s professor for two years at PTS University. Even though I have only known her for
a short period of time, I am still confident that I can be one of her credible character
referees since I have once witnessed and assessed her performance and capabilities as her
professor
Ms. Aika is a very hardworking student. She didn’t miss any activity that I gave her back
then. Even though their family experience scarcity when it comes to financial aspect,
Aika was still able to provide every school project with creativity and wit. Aside from
that, she’s one of those cheerful and respectful students who never forget to greet their
teachers with a smile every day.
Her sense of leadership is still vivid in my mind. She’s capable of leading her classmates
in doing difficult tasks without showing any sour and arrogant attitude. I can also
commend her good communication skills specially in dealing with diverse people in the
society. Truly, Ms. Aika is one of our school’s creams of the crop.
Moreover, another feature that I have seen in Aika is her enormous enthusiasm for her
teaching profession. She has the heart that cares for her student’s welfare and a teachable
mind that is always open for any opportunity of learning that she can get from her present
and future experiences in the teaching field. Her ability to innovate things is also
exceptional.
In conclusion, I know that there’s still more to discover from Ms. Aikas capability and I
hope you will give her the chance to prove that all my aforementioned claims were true. I
am giving my full guarantee that Ms. Aika can become a best asset in any field she will
be part of. Please consider Ms. Aikas academic achievement and potentials. I am looking
forward to hear a positive news from her.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at 303-556-6716 or maryannhoffman@denver.edu if

you need any further information. I am looking forward to hear a positive news from her
regarding this matter. Thank you for this pleasurable opportunity.

Sincerely,
Rufinan B. Legaspi
