able to complete multiple arrest warrants, and I have been able to gain experience

creating six person photo lineups. I have been afforded opportunities to take written
statements from witnesses/victims, and I have gained experience using the Accurint,
Clear and the Lerms databases.

Working with detectives has allowed me to gain a comprehensive knowledge of what

many of the daily duties of a Geographic CID Detective are, and the types of deliverables
they are expected to produce. Preservation of evidence and being able to provide
evidence to prosecutors in a timely manner is an essential duty of a detective. To enhance
my knowledge about this matter, I read the book "Getting Life" which is a memoir based
off the life of Michael Morton. I believed reading this book was important because being
knowledgeable about "Michael Morton Act" and the handling of exculpatory evidence is
important to know when working as an investigator.

During my career, as an Arlington Police Officer I have been able to build positive
relationships with stakeholders in the community. I served as a mentor with the
Mentoring Arlington Youth Program where I was able to interact with students at
Workman Jr High. This program consisted of different workshops on leadership, team
building, education, and career development. I was able to participate in multiple
community service projects. I also served as a mentor in Coach 5-0 program. I have been
able to practice with and help mentor the Lamar High School football players, and attend
their football games. These two programs have allowed me to interact with multiple
students and to assist with motivating, inspiring, and guiding them on their individual
paths to success.

I believe that I would be an asset to the North Geographic Criminal Investigations

Division. I believe that my job knowledge, ability to work with others in a team setting,
and my desire to team and gain experience in an investigative unit would assist in
meeting the needs of the unit. If given the opportunity, I would prove to be an excellent
asset to your unit. My current supervisors are Sergeant Leslie Arnott #2836 and
Lieutenant Paul Rodriguez if. I can be reached at 901-896-4548. My schedule is flexible,
and I would be available as needed.
