1 Peter 4:1-19 | Suffering Well Part 2?

Initial Thoughts/ questions (unedited)

 Last week seems to be more focused on the philosophy on how to and/ or why you should
suffer whilst doing good due to the promise of salvation and it all underpinned by God’s
character who punishes the wicked and listens to and saves the righteous.
 This passage hangs on what was last talked about.
 V1-2 The call to look as Christ as the example in terms of thinking
 V3-6 instead of living this way like the way gentiles do (interesting choice of language here)
 V7-11 live this way instead
 V12- 13 Why should we expect suffering?
 V14-18 Peter reminds the reader the goodness of what is to come because faithfulness to
God.
 The conclusion let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful
creator (Summary verse for the passage).
