Introduction
The book Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age (2009) the author looks into the idea that
time can be perceived as a way to communicate from the past and help us to proceed to the future. It
explores the idea that time can explain the route the future of the world, therefore giving us the idea of
the future. The end of anything also marks the beginning of what comes next, we're also living the start of
what follows the end of time: the next world age, which ancient traditions called the great cycle.

Intrinsic revelations from epic poems of India's Mahabharata to the oral traditions of America and the
biblical story proves that our ancestors knew about closeness of times expiration.

He as well argues that the present world age isn't something that will simply fade away into the sunset of
a time that seems to perpetually linger somewhere "out there" in our future. Making us also understand
that our world age has an expiration date. It ends at a specific time, with a specific event, on a day that
was marked on a calendar more than 2,000 years ago. There is no secret about that date. The Maya who
calculated it also inscribed it as a permanent record for future generations. The date is etched into stone
monuments that were built to last until the end of time.

The end of the world age, which the Mayans identified and belief held by Braden (2009) was said to be
credited to the Winter Solace. The beginning of 2012 period cycle was started in the 5th world age 3114
B.C. approximately.

The world now in its fifth phase, is understood that Mayans cycle of 5125 year long cycle of time
calculation to end by December 2012, fourth phase as propose by Braden in his book.

According to Braden the discovery of the time cycles and patterns governs the direction of the universe, in
the sense that it repeats in a set time frames. Meaning every so often the world will experience what has
gone before.

About the Author

Gregg Braden was born on 28th June 1954. He became popular when he wrote about the 2012
phenomenon which scared mankind to bits that the earth’s magnetic polarity was about to reverse, and
that the human DNA would be affected by the change in the earth’s magnetic field. He further argued that
human emotions had an effect on DNA and that collective prayer may possess healing physical effects. He
is a renowned initiator of bridging the real world, science and spirituality.

During the energy crisis of the 1970s, Braden worked for Phillips Petroleum as a Computer Geologist
before he moved on to for Martin Marietta Defense Systems to work as a senior computer systems
designer. In 1991 Braden became the first technical operations manager for Cisco Systems.

Braden has conducted research in various parts of the world. He has explored remote monasteries,
forgotten texts, and high mountain villages, in order to merge their timeless secrets, for more than 27
years. His work has led to such pioneering books as The God Code, The Divine Matrix, and The
Spontaneous Healing of Belief Gregg's work is published in 17 languages and 27 countries and shows
beyond doubt that the key to our future lies in the wisdom of our past..

Braden is the bestselling author for the New York Times and has received numerous awards in recognition
of his innovations and insights, and is 2015 Nominee for the prestigious Templeton Award.

Our Passage through time ( A testament of Centuries)

It's the story of Earth, and human history on it, marked with times with what could be doubted
happened. The planet changed so quickly and drastically that life as it was known before the change
forever disappeared. In his landmark book Meditations with the Hopi (1986), scholar Robert Boissiere
illustrates the clarity and simplicity of the Hopi worldview. Following are brief excerpts from a longer
narrative he gathered while living among the Hopi for years, having been accepted as family.

On the destruction of the first world:

The remnants of the first people moved in with the ant people to be safe when Sotuknang [the sky God]
destroyed Tokpela, the first world, with fire.'

On the destruction of the second world:

[Then] some became greedy!-though life was plentiful. Greed made them fight one another.... So Taiowa
[the Creator] said to Sotuknang, "Destroy this second world!" ... The [second] world froze solid from pole
to pole, and in its imbalance, the world stopped spinning for a while.2

On the destruction of the third world:

In this [third] world, humankind grew and grew, spreading everywhere.... Some became so powerful, they
waged war on the others, annihilating them with their machines.... Then Sotuknang destroyed the third
world. A great flood covered the Earth; it rained for a full moon.

They describe three vast cycles of time, three previous worlds that existed before the fourth one of today.
Each of the preceding worlds concluded with a great niagara: the first with earthquakes and the sinking of
continents, the second with the earth covered in ice, and the third with a great flood. The prophecy says
that the fourth world will end in our lifetime and that we will soon be living in the fifth.

Although they are nonscientific, the Hopi description of the events that ended each era is quiet similar to
the history of the earth that is preserved in the geological record. Recent data from ocean sediment and
polar ice cores confirm that the planet has, in fact, undergone a cyclic history of niagara from fire, ice, and
water, as well as recovery periods. There was a period of earthquakes and volcanic activity around 20,000
years ago. The ice age peaked about 11,000 years ago, and there was a deluge that is believed to have
been the biblical Flood, which occurred approximately 4,000 to 5,000 years ago.

According to the Hopi, the same cycles of time and nature that have expounded such changes in the past
are now bringing the present world to an end as the next begins. What makes the Hopi worldview so
important going forward is its accuracy regarding the past. The key here is that the Hopi discovered these
cycles before modern researchers could confirm them scientifically. If such indigenous knowledge of
cycles is so accurate for the past, then how relevant will their predictions of the what might happen in the
future be?

Time Code Algorithm

Braden explains emphatically on how time is expressed as a pattern of cycles dotted with “Choice Points”,
vital times when change takes place, which may be good or bad – depending on the choices made by us as
individuals or society at large. To this effect, he has developed a Time Code algorithm which is based on
the Phi ratio, and uses it to determine these cycles.

Using my personal experiences about life as a basis to ascertain how this algorithm works and the results
were alluring. I’ve had encountered a lot both good and bad such as some amazing opportunities,
nostalgic moments, unforgettable heartbreaks, and countless transformations, and some decisions that
either had a positive impact or negative impacts on me. This got me to realize that a layout recognition
forms the basis of human intelligence.

When we look a little closer at nature's cycles, we find that each is part of a larger one that unfolds within
an even larger one and so on-nested cycles of time and energy that govern the rhythms of the universe
and life. The familiar experience of day and night is a perfect illustration of how these nested cycles work.
The hours of light and dark that we see daily are due to the way Earth rotates with respect to the sun, a
cycle that takes about 24 hours. How long the light and the dark of each day last, in turn, is linked to the
way Earth tilts toward or away from the sun while it's orbiting: the cycle seasons of the year. How much
our planet tilts is part of an even greater cycle that determines how long the seasons last over thousands
of years.

In as much as In Ghana, every plant grows in it’s season. Mostly maize grows well in the rainy seasons. It
is during this season that farmers prepares their lands for farming and it occurs every year within the
month of October.

A passage through Zodiac

From the oral traditions of the Hopi to the 5,000-year-old records of the ancient Sumerians, among
others, a growing body of evidence suggests that humans believe the existence of heaven. And they also
believe that stars and constellations of the night sky seemed to change their positions in space during
their existence. In Ghana for instance it is believe traditionally that every human has star that appears
from the day they are born and burns out the day die.

Just the way the sun shining on the Northern Hemisphere appears lower in the sky during the winter than
in the summer, the constellations appear to rise and set at different times and locations depending upon
where we are in our journey. This change, known as the precession of the equinoxes, has been recognized
by many civilizations, from ancient India to Egypt. The bottom line to the precession is that the scenery of
the night sky changes as we trace our path through the heavens over time.
Historically, our journey across the universe has been described as a circular path that carries us through
the 12 familiar zodiac signs. Because there are 12 constellations that we pass through, each is assigned
one piece of the circle (12 constellations x 30 degrees each = 360 degrees of the orbit).

Historical records show that our speed through the heavens has varied throughout history. Modern
satellites reveal that it takes Earth about 72 years to pass through 1 degree of our zodiac orbit. This means
that at the present time it takes us about 2,160 years to pass completely through one zodiac sign. This
makes perfect sense, as the present Age of Pisces is believed to have begun about 2,000 years ago, and
we are nearing its end as we transition into the new Age of Aquarius.

Based on Earth's current speed through the cosmos, this also means that our entire journey through all 12
constellations takes about 25,625 years. For ease of use, this number is commonly rounded to 26,000
years. This is our voyage through the zodiac, our "precession" through the equinoxes. Our knowledge of
this journey gives even greater meaning to the doctrine of World Ages, as well as to our passage through
the cosmos.

Fractals
In 1975, Mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot first used this term “Fractal” – from the Latin word Fractus
which means “fractured” or “broken”, and he applied it to expand on the idea of theoretical fractional
dimensions to geometric patterns in nature.

A fractal is a never-ending pattern, capable of repeating itself. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that
look the same across different levels. Fractals are created by recursion and are images of dynamic
systems. Geometrically, fractals do exist in between our familiar dimensions. That’s why nature is full of
fractals.

Mandelbrot observed that any part or fragment (fractals) always looks like its larger part – though not this
is thunder’s lighting and its waves.

The new world age delving into our journey through change
Mankind, the world over, is still in “knowledge darkness” period – in so far as the present day Earth
changes and what this entails to the human race. Change is constant and change is inevitable in this
constant changing world – therefore, we must all realize that, change has been, and is already happening
around us.

Braden reminds us that, it is not a myth or a hoax that change takes place constantly on Earth. It has been
proven scientifically that the change upon us happens once every 5,125 years, and once every 26,000
years. These changes that we shall continue to experience on this Earth will; to a large extent, be
influenced by humankind. Therefore, the magnitude of these changes - how severe or light the changes
will be – will largely depend on our actions or reactions. Therefore, the choice we make as to the way we
lead our lives today, have a lot of bearing on our future. This includes the type of images we choose to be
surrounded by.

How to use the time code calculator

Braden insinuate that by using the calculation methods of the Mayans we can understand what awaits us
in the next cycle pattern and maybe how to avoid certain natural disasters. He gave us examples of what
within his 21 Time Codes. In each time code we learn what has and what will (or) take place, therefore by
knowing these things we can prepare for steps to take. The Time codes purpose the followings:
Time code 1: 3114 B.C saw the starting of the new world age cycle which ended in 2012 A.D and now 5
years into the new cycle.

Time code 2: Gregg Braden cited that end world age does not indicate the end of the world but an
entrance into a new cycle.

Time code 3: Thinking of time as an essence following cycles and rhythms that dictates (governs) our
universe was discovered.

Time code 4: Future events can be predicted from past experiences, by learning the tragedies of the past
to uncovering what lies in the future.

Time code 5: Understanding where we are in each cycle we can change our actions to have the desired
outcome.

Time code 6: knowing how to use time calculator it is possible to know the condition of the past
presenting itself but not the event.

Time code 7: Each word age (five in total) last 5,125.

Time code 8: The ending of one world age and starting of another is signalled by the changes of the earth
position within our galaxy.

Time code 9: Bhakti an extended time of devotion as described by Vedic traditions began in 1898 and
lasted beyond 2012 Mayan end date.

Time code 10: December 2012 was the ending of the last world age which began in August 11, 3114 B.C.
signalled by alignment of our solar system.

Time code 11: nature uses a few simple, self similar and repeating patterns, fractals to build energy and
atoms into the familiar forms of everything from roots, rivers and trees to rocks, mountains and us.

Time code 12: All that is required to comprehend the universe is embedded in the simplicity of each of it.

Time code 13: Knowing when the cycles repeats allows cycles allows us to identify times in the future
when we can forecast next repeating conditions of the past.

Time code 14: Personal and global cycles of love, hurt, war and peace can be predicted by the time code
calculator.

Time code 15: Patterns identified for an earlier time in history tend to repeat themselves with greater
intensity at later dates.

Time code 16: Using human, celestial and earth events as a template has given us a consistent to view the
past as a realistic window into 2012.

Time code 17: There is nothing in the geological record to suggest that earth’s magnet fields will reverse
before or immediately following the 2012 cycle end date.

Time code 18: the time code template shows that the human, earth and celestial conditions of today are
in the same range as the key reference dates of the past. In other words, the changes happening now are
just what we would expect for the end of a world age.

Time code 19: There is a consensus among the best minds of our time that the current depletion of
natural resources, exponentially growing population global poverty and competition for the necessities of
life are converging toward a “bottleneck” in time.
Time code 20: The results are conclusive: Heart based focus and heart based living will have a direct effect
upon the way we experience 2012 and our time of change.

Time code 21: faced with the greatest number and magnitude of potentially world ending challenges in
5,125 years of human history we now discover that the key to our transition lies in our collective feelings
about the change.

Step-by-step instructions (an algorithm) for each mode in words on how the time codes are calculated.

Conversion to absolute dates. For ease of use, the "modern" dates (Gregorian dates) are converted to
absolute dates in terms of the cycle itself. For dates after the year 0, this conversion is accomplished by
adding 3113 (the number of years between the beginning of the Mayan great cycle in 3114 B.C. and the
year 0) to the seed event (example for the year 2012: 3113 + 2012 = 5125).

Also, conversion of decimals to months. Some of the calculated dates create numbers to the right of the
decimal point. These are portions (fractions) of the year indicated and may be converted into the
corresponding month for greater accuracy using the following formula.

• (Number to right of decimal + 12) x 100 = percent of the year

• (Percent of the year x 12) + 100 = month of the year

Example: Year 2001.8 translates to (8 + 12) x 100 = 66.66 percent of the year or (66.66 x 12) + 100 =
month 7.99 or August (rounded). The key here is to think of the decimal that is expressed in tenths as a
portion of the 12 months that are possible. For convenience, I have included a reference chart of the
decimal-to month calculations for numbers 1 to 12 such as portion of the years and it equivalent months
( 1 January, 2 February, 3March, 4 April etc.)

Also, these formulas calculate zones of time that make the events possible, rather than the specific date
and time that an event will take place. So in our example of September 11, 2001, as a repeat of the cycle
that began in 1941, the calculations show a 30-day lag between the Time Code calculation and the actual
event. The key is that the calculator clearly pinpoints the time(s) of the repeating pattern within the
greater 5,125-year cycle. As the discussion of choice points in Chapter 7 illustrates, human choices can
alter the course of events, even when the conditions that support those events are present. And this fact
is precisely why the Time Code Calculator is so valuable. It gives us the heads up as to when we can expect
such conditions to be present.

Expecting Past events to repeat in the future.

• Input 1: The target date in the past when an obvious pattern (the seed) occurred

• Input 2: The total length of the cycle that tells us where we are in present time

- The Time Code algorithm as described: Always apply these same eight steps:

History repeats in Love and War: Fractal Warnings for the Future
Braden incorporated a reminiscence of his school days and the beginning of the cold war in how
frightening and serious the war against the Americans was he pointed out. This alerts left traces of chaos
in their minds. We must be raised by knowledge of the fractal time and its repetitiveness, as we trace the
outlands of knowledge about the universe and our future. The time codes calculator can aid us in
divulging periods of peace, love, sorrow, misunderstandings, depressions... etc in our lives, as they
provide us with index as to when those specific circumstances are likely to reoccur in our lives.

Gregg proceeds to list out a series of occurrences that have occurred in this world, which happened at
equal intervals and forms, such as the murder of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 and John F. Kennedy in the
United States of America in the year 1963. After this, evolved the bizarre karma known as: “The 20-Year
"Curse"

Gregg researched patterns to figure out about the mysterious events of our time, and that of the scholars
and legendary historical moments of the past. Following the tragic death of President Lincoln in the
1860s, for example, historians began to suspect that his assassination might be part of a pattern that was
emerging. Little more than 20 years earlier, another President had tragically died in office. In 1841,
William Henry Harrison had become ill and died of pneumonia.

President Harrison's death, it seemed that the seed had been planted for a pattern of such tragedies. In
the years that have followed, the suspicions of those early scholars have been confirmed. For reasons that
are as eerie as they are mysterious, in the nearly 160 years that followed Harrison's death approximately
every 20 years the U.S. President has either died in office or has survived an attempt on his life. With the
unsuccessful attempts to assassinate Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, the conditions of the pattern
seem to have held true. The question that historians are now asking is whether or not their survival after
these assassination attempts has put an end to the "20-year curse" of American Presidents. The
presidential cycle of 2020 will tell the story. When we look at the statistics, however, they seem to speak
for themselves.

Ghana’s Economy 2018 outlook

Ghana’s macroeconomic performance improved in 2017 after a difficult 2016. The country’s economy
expanded for the fifth successive quarter in September 2017, at a rate almost double that of 2016,
according to a World Bank’s report. In it 3rd edition of the economic Update, focuses on agriculture as the
engine of growth and jobs creation, but the service sector bounced back, and the fiscal consolidation is
paying off. The inflation rate is also down to close of 10 percent. “The macroeconomic outlook was largely
positive based on the 2017 performance. GDP growth for 2017 is estimated to have almost doubled from
the 3.7 percent in 2016, and is expected to stay at that elevated level through 2018,”

Despite the positive outlook, challenges remain, including further containing inflation and strengthening
and deepening the financial sector to lower interest rates. Ghana’s economic performance over the
medium term will, to a large extent, depend on the success of the economic stabilization program. The
report recommends that the Government sustain the fiscal consolidation efforts. Improvements in
domestic revenue mobilization and more forward-looking expenditure planning will be key. But fiscal
consolidation will only be sustainable when social and economic activities can thrive in an expanding and
increasingly diverse economy. Ghana is also likely to face higher financing costs in both the domestic and
external markets in the context of a strong U.S. dollar and rising global bond yields.

Conclusion
The book Fractal Time by Gregg Braden appears to have been written with an account of merging the
knowledge of the past to the future. In learning we experience changes in the New World Age, and
beyond. By so doing, we are able to gain understanding of fractals of the past. Which nourishes us to
move towards our greatest possibilities.

We are in the new World Age, and the choices we make today shall have a great bearing on our future
world tomorrow.

Our governments cannot save us from catastrophic occurrences in the new world age. The onus is on us
to use this opportunity to re-align our thinking in order to love our way into the new world age. We do not
need to be separated by economic crises, politics, ethnicities ideologies etc. Instead, we must create an
enabling environment for mankind to advance in all endeavors and also to create a peaceful environment
characterized by love.
