INTRODUCTION
The article looks at a book Fractal Time written by Gregg Braden and touches on the
main ideas in the book and how they can be applied to our daily live. It will look at
choice that we have to make for a better tomorrow for our nations, world and careers.
THE AUTHOR: GREGG BRADEN
Gregg Braden is June, 28 1954 born scientist, visionary, philosopher and a
knowledgeable scholar who touch the deeper portion of our mind and heart with his
inspirational books and speeches. He is known for his books: Divine Matrix, Fractal
Time, Deep Truth and The God Code. Currently, he is one of New Yorks bestselling
authors.
In his career life, Gregg worked with for Phillips Petroleum as computer geologist during
the 1970s energy crisis, Martin Marietta Defense Systems as Senior Computer Systems
Designer and Cisco Systems as first Technical Operations Manager in 1991.
Gregg is a member of Leadership think tank, founded by Deepak Chopra in 2008. He
has received numerous awards to his credit. Gregg has presented his seminars and
trainings to several institutions including the U.S. military, international businesses and
fortune 500.
MAIN IDEAS
The world is full of mysteries that must be uncovered. It is embedded in a universe of
cycles and patterns which are so fascinating. From child birth, animal breeding,
menstruation to seasons are various evidences of cycles. In the book of Ecclesiastics, it
is said that there is time for everything. confirming natures characters of lawful
arrangement. When we look closely at cycles in nature, you will realized that each part
is similar to the whole. This forms the bases of life, existence and patterns what to
expect in this world.
A typical pattern in nature is the lightening of fireflies. Fireflies have their own period that
they light up their lights. Their flashes depicts their time bleeding.

When R. N. Elliot wrote about how natural law and natural cycles govern many aspects
of our lives, it changed peoples mind set about the universe, civilization and time. It is
not surprising that Robert R. Preachter base his concept on these ideas to develop one
of the most successful market predictions tools for New York Stock Exchange.

Time is one of such pattern. These patterns and cycles help to determine how you can
adequately position yourselves for the future so as not to be taken by surprise. Issues
such as stock price predictions, international business management, and risk and
profitability analysis could be managed with these cycles in mind.

A time code program must provide or offer opportunities or platforms to understand our
past and to predict what the future hold for us, and our environment. The key issue here
is that time repeat itself in a pattern.
Our Journey through Time
The world has experienced four (4) phases. In the book Meditation with hope (1986):
Tokpela (east world.) A study on 51 cultures, our ancient people have tried in numerous
ways to be reminded of a possible transition using various imagery and actions
imbedded in their traditions. To understand the world and its existence, you need to
understand that, it is all about cycles. Human life and time repeat themselves. A cursory
look at natures seasons, climate, crops yield, and human related characters (eg.
Menstruation) justifies that this world is all about cycles. Just as the world has
experience four (4) phases before this fifth (5th) one, it is unequivocally true that this
existing one will end one day.
Our ancestors needed the experience of the art of end of time to show that the close
of one world age is the beginning of the next, and not the end of that world in its entirety.
(Onyango,2012)This is because the way that the changes will take is so intense that
many things are destroyed but just within a time period. It is a revolving phenomenon.
The only way one starts is for one to end.
Although the messages given by Mayans ancestors are remote, they recognized that
cycle in nature long before Socrates did. This was realized from the carefully calculated
way that time keepers kept track of happenings to predict the future. They also used this
knowledge to tell stories about the happenings in nature and life.
What is amazing among all are the time keepers in various cultures, tribes and religion
such as Hope, Maya and Hindu., use that they all mention in their time history some
intense darkness.
They all state that these worlds have existed, destroyed, prior to our world today.
Images such as signs used to express time points to the fact that some worlds have
existed before our present world and this one would also end somewhere for a new one
to start.
In modern science, there are several strange discoveries about nature which have
potential to plunge the existence of human kind on this earth. News about Asteroid,
expansion of Orion (star), earthquakes etc. give an indication that something serious is
about to happen to our very world.

A critical observation of the world, especially its beauty, patterns, formation and
arrangements, show that there is more into nature than what we sight or merely see
and talk about. It is enveloped in a form that requires maximum time, patience and

most of all in-depth imagination to understand the basic intricacies of creation. Gregg
Braden in his book tried to discuss it with time codes.

The Time Code Programme:

Everything from business, personal, social, economic, emotions and seasons are full of
certain basic observable patterns. Carefully observing nature and raptly listening to the
echoes of animals especially birds summarises the encoding of time into nature. The
sound of a cock crowing at dawn should give an indication that it is early morning. Dry
and wet seasons and their accompanying climatic changes depict to us what time in the
year we find ourselves. Monitory this pattern for some time could give you a clue as to
what would possibly occur with an existing signs.
The lighting of fireflies is a typical example of occurrence that could depict natures
pattern evolvement. Gregg (2012) mentioned that anytime the lights of fireflies grow, it
depicts their bleeding season. An observation made from series of movies about
animals on NaGeoWild (National Geographic channel depicts exciting patterns of cycles
in the animals kingdom.
When I was young, I observed a particular tree called (Acconkodee) - bears its fruits a
month before Christmas, so do sparrows (belebele) fly to our villages during harmattan
season. The moment you see the akonkodee plant bossom, it tells you Christmas is
near. People have observed some clouds to some extent that anytime some cloud like
the cumulus is formed with some winds, people could instantly predict that it will rain
and how heavy it might be.
Natures time code works. It works quite accurately to the extent that if you are able to
read the pattern carefully it becomes easier to predict it reoccurrence.
According to Gregg, there are three (3) different ways by which time code could be used
to predict the patterns of cycles and how they happen. I). know the conditions for
reoccurrence, ii). Identify the seed date iii). then we can know when the incidence will
reoccur. (Pires, 2012)
Gregg(2010) used the code as vehicle to design time code programme which is used to
predict future occurrence of events. All you need is the date under consideration (seed
date).

The Hopi talks about a part that is too painful and bizarre for people to accept. History

We are on the fourth (4) phase today and it is believed that this will also go through
similar cycle. This was known by our forefathers even before our scientific generations
could prove it. Indeed, If these outmoded traditions could be used to predict all these
past events, then their prediction about the future must be treated with all the faith and
belief it deserves.
Earths 25,625yrs was divided into 12 constellations of the Zodiac by - the precession
of the equinoxes into 5 world ages lasting 5125 years each. It must be said that the
first 4 worlds of 5125 years has come to pass with similar characteristics and conditions
causing its end. The journey through Zodiac confirms that based on the speed of the
world through Cosmos, the 12 constellations will take the same 25,625yrs as predicted
by the ancient traditions. What is so important about these world are that there is no
clear boundary between the end of one age and the beginning of the other. Where ones
light ends, anothers darkness begin. The beautiful Dendera Zodiac is one of the
mysterious things embedded in our world history which helps to solidify the arguments
that this world shift from one age to the next.
The Doctrine of World Ages
This is the knowledge that such cycles occur and of what happens when they do. Our
galaxy creates powerful changes that signal the end of one world age and the beginning
of these cyclic changes is termed the doctrine of world Ages.

A Meso American Cosmology expert John Major jerkins has said that, by examining
these care (Maya) traditions, we can reconstruct and revive the original 2012
revelation, A classical comparison of visionaries both history and modern:
Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, The Aztees, the Hopi, the Maya, and others have all sent
unambiguous message throughout time all of them point to one point. The Mayan

Whiles their occurrence and period varies, the way in which each ends does not. Each
tradition deserves an event that Cleanses one age and prepares that world for the
next. In the world age references; traditions such as Hopi, Ancient India, Aztee, Maya
etc. ends in cataclysms way.(Mulato, 2012) A clear similarity indicated that Vedas and
Mayan calendars agree that the world exist as 4 great cycles and they both agree they
are heading towards the end of their calendar. The last book of the bible, the
revelations, talks about the coming of the Lord. It also shows that signs of calamity will
befall the earth before its end thereof. All these signs have come to pass and many
biblical scholars predict that the world is coming to an end. Even though the bible talks
about the end of the existing world, the conditions and signs that will mark its end
agrees with the arguments of the Vedics and Mayan Calendars.

something will happen before the end of this world, during the end of the world and after
the world.
The Dark Yuga (Kali) which marks the end of Vedic and the last after the Satya Yuga,
the Treta Yuga (Silver Age), Drapara Yuga (Bronze Age), The Kati Yuga (iron Age or
Black Age) marks the end of the year. It is characterized by appearance of rulers who
are unreasonable and levy taxes unfairly, corruption, addiction to drugs, alcohol, famine,
murder, death; quarrels, discords, contentions, and that the helpless becomes target to
the rich etc.
It is clear that the inspired word of God, The Bible, gives an accounts of
Nebuchadnezzars dream which is interpreted as bible scholars to represent world
Ages, and Kingdoms. It has also travelled for 26,000 years. Biblical commentaries also
brings to to the fore that we are at the foot great statue which is a mixture of Kingdoms,
economic turmoil, wars etc that will end with a hand holding a stone to hit the foot of the
statue. The entire statue broke down which marked the end of the world. The Key here
is that, the sign that marks the end of this statue is not different from the description of
the dark Yuga. The pattern and descriptions are the same. The history points to now!
2012 clearly when you compare Mayan, and Vedic world age to the Bible, they all talk
about roughly 5125 years cycle to cause the shift or the end as the bible describes it.
The Key to the Universe
Time
In the wisdom of the creator, numbers placed at the center of creations. Patters are
formed with numbers and signs. Time is Code in the exclusion of numbers. Gatilev
(1564-1642) signs that God created the world with the Mathematical language.

A modern biological finding DNA follows precise rule. The dominance of cycles in
nature when time is devoted to monitor and study the way these patterns unfolds. They
are real. If we understand the codes, we will understand the changes it could bring and
that predict same.

According to the inventor of modern computer - Zuse Korrad the universe operates like
computers. The computer uses programmes to get things done. There are Codes in the
universe and that make things happen. These are naturally placed. Natures key to the
universe lies in patterns.

The question then is how do we predict these repeating patterns or study them in the
cycles of time? According to Gregg the two keys are fractal principles and The Golden
Ratio. Both keys give clearer insight into life and the patterns of love, betrayal, hatred
and leadership.
Fractals:
Euclidean geometry which was used in our elementary education seems to have
problems as we begin to ask serious questions about mature time and space. Euclid
assertion that the world is made up of circles, triangles, rectangles etc with straight
edges cannot hold in the argument.
Fractal mathematics does the magic. One authority of fractal mathematics is Benoit
Mandelbrot. His works fractal geometry of nature makes our understanding of patterns
in nature solid. The crisp of his argument is that any part or fragment no matter how
small looks just like the bigger figure but not necessarily identical. A typical example is
thunders lighting and its waves. The principle of self-similarity is imbedded in nature.

Golden Ratio
The other key to understanding the universe repeating nature lies in the golden ration or
Phi. It is the number we get when we compare one part of something to another part of
itself after we divide both measures in a precise way. Phi or the Golden Ratio is the
most beautiful number in nature. The builder of the Egyptian pyramids bridges had a
prior knowledge on Phi before they did the construction. This came about from
Leonardo Fibonaccis never-ending series of numbers that creates the Golden Ratio
into 0.618. Specific checks in life and nature prove this ratio. Let me cite just one
example;

Ratio of length of hand to the forearm of any human being is 0.618.

It is also proven that the spiral of the earth; planetary orbit, are al governed by

Time is a natural process that cannot be easily defined. It is that which keeps everything
from happening at once. It is intimately connected with the Golden Ratio as well. You
need to study its patterns to understand how it will reoccur.

Several researchers have delved into finding the reality of time. Works by Bryce Dewitt,
who came out with wheeler- De Witt equation is a typical example. The equation sees
time as an un-existing reality and must be taken out of quantum world and classical
physics. The Germanys Max Planek Institute of Quantum Optics draw the conclusion
that time does not exist. Plank time which is less than a trillionth of the attosecond is a

smallest unit of time that has no meaning in the natural earth or physical world. Time
seem to disappear below the plank time.
It may be that the best way to think of quantum reality is to give up the notion of time- as
something abstract and non-existent (Carlo Revelti). Time seems to exist in the universe
but as we go to the lower level (below Plank time) it fails the reality test.
The other question is that why does the earth move the same direction?
Einstein once wrote in a letter in 1931 that the separation between past, present, and
future is only an illusion although a persistent one, Although there is nothing in physics
to explain why time move in the same direction the reality is that, it move from present
to the future. The laws of physics however supports the arguments that time can move
in opposite directions. What makes time to flow in one direction, and why the future can
best be explained by Einsteins proposition that time and space are inseparable. Due to
the inseparability of time and space the outward and outgoing expansion of the universe
may explain the Mystery of why time appears to move only in one direction and always
toward the future.
The outward expansion of the universe from the central point explains our belief that
time only moves into the future however, the notion can change when we ever get to a
point where there is contraction in nature. Time could reverse into the past.
To be able to perfect the arguments of cycles in the universe, we have to really know
the shape of time. Several patterns in nature points out to be spirals in orbit of planets,
spirals in milky way and galaxies, spirals in shapes, spiral patterns in human body etc
makes it clear that the wave and shape of time are in spiral forms. As they do, they
create the tension fields that move in cycles throughout the universe. So any seed
event would move through a cycle and reappear in future. So does part event expects
to reappear in future again.
Time Code Calculator
Gregg gave a wonderful condition of thoughts on how to use the time code calculator to
predict future events. 3 key steps were proposed:
Step 1: What is the seed date? Example 11years
Step 2: Find the phi ratio interval *N years (where N is the number of years and =
0.618)
Step 3: Add the Phi interval ratio to the base year (0.618 * N years) +N years

According to Gregg, the time codes calculator can help you to uncover periods of love,
sorrow, depressions, misunderstandings etc in your life. This will give you an indication
of when those incidences are likely to reoccur. (Chilwesa, 2012)

History repeats in love and war fractal warnings for future

Knowledge about the fractal time and its repetitiveness must raise a serious alert to us
whiles we pursue activities into the future. There are series of evidence to show how
certain things have happened in our world that has happened in equal intervals and
forms.. The conditions surrounding the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln and John F.
Kennedy are enough to explain that events are repetitive and that if we observe the
signs within a time Code, we can take natural precautionary measures to avert their
reoccurrences.
On the assassination of the two presidents of America in 100 years interval issues
regarding where they were assassinated, names of places they were the assassination
went on, people who assassinated them, investigators who undertook criminal
investigations on both, the names of their vice presidents, the conditions surrounding
their families at the white house, etc had similarities. The only differences are that they
happened in different days and year and also with different intensity.
Similarly Americas have what Historian call. The 20year curse from 1840 2000,
assassination attempt is made on Presidents of America. It is believed that knowledge
of these patterns saved Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush in 1980 and 2000
respectively from their respective assassination attempts. If we could equally sit down
and look into our immediate history it is possible to avert possible calamities that will
befall us while we pursue life.
In Ghana, from 1981 to date, the country is ruled by Johns. People are beginning to
take advantage of the pattern by fixing presidents who are called Johns. It has now
become part of political propaganda that, if a partys presidential candidate is called
John then the electorate will accept you.

The End of day

Gregg made a startling revelation about the end of the world stage. He asserts that
using templates of human events earths events and celestial events gives us a
consistent way to view the past as a realistic window to 2012. It is evident that the world
would pass away on December 2012.(Natasha, 2012)

It was a wonderful day waiting for the events that will mark the last day on December,
21 2012 to unfold. The Mayan communities, other doomsday prophets and believers
and followers of Fractal time calculators waited till the next day but there was no
change. Because various authors have all predicted using the Mayan calendar count of
5125years from a mythical years of creation to end in December, 2012 non believers
also wanted to know what will happen. But the day failed them. These authors

especially Gregg Braden, were all branded as doomsday prophets. Even though they
failed the core of their arguments still stands the test of time.
Choice point for 2012
The human race is at a unique turning point. Will we choose to create the best of all
possible worlds? Scientific America (Sept, 2005). Greggs book has give us some key
patterns and events in this world that have the potentials of repeating themselves.
Especially as events in this world are proven to come in the form of cycles, events such
as power struggling, leadership exploitation of natural resources etc should be seen as
flashpoints into the future.
People in high positions are exploiting the remaining resources of oil deposit, minerals,
clean water etc leaving the weak to scrap and scramble for leftovers. This situation has
the potential of creating chaos in future. It is imperative for leaders to be mindful of the
fact that they rule because the people have allowed them to rule. Therefore when they
take decisions must be mindful of the social and economic livelihood of these masses.
Our ancestors through proper records keeping, preserved historical facts and
monuments for the generation and the generations yet unborn. Archeological research
and findings unearthed these historical records. This has brought about and sustained
certain progressive decisions that are taken today. It is within this purview that the
current generation is encouraged to maintain and not to destroy certain important
monuments that can be of immense benefits to mankind in future all in the name of
survival.
It is therefore worthwhile to argue that should there be any major environmental
destruction, as signs of nature predicts, the next generations would have something to
hold on to in predicting future events and taking social and environmental precautions
against the past references.
Our choices in our lifetime determine what happens beyond this life.
The Biblical code makes reference to judgment after death. It says that people will be
accountable for whatever sins they commit on earth. We therefore have to choose
righteousness and lead lives worthy of purposeful emulation.
Conditions may inevitably repeat themselves, but events do not necessarily have to. We
have a choice!
Applications
Economic

Stock exchange market players should know that the trends and patterns that arose in
the dealings have a repetitive effect. They should there protect their investments by
undertaking proper research into the market.

Management decisions and strategy: management in taking strategic decision about

operations, marketing, expansion, investments, human resource etc should take into
considerations past events and industry risk so that they do not fall into the same trap.
Those decisions must be defensive and progressively reviewed to weed out
unwarranted past decisions that have the potential of casting a slur on future profitability
and institutional breakdown.

Risk management and precautions

Central to any economic analysis is risk management. Risk becomes necessary when
we anticipate future losses. Having obtained knowledge on the fractal nature of time,
various precautions needs to be taken before anything insurmountable happens.
Institutions must undertake careful operational reengineering measures and human
capital development that can withstand any sudden changes that may unexpectedly
occur. Globalising the operations of companies operation should be taken with a pinch
of salt.
The financial crisis that affected the world should be seen as something that would
possibly happen again. The world must put structures in place to prevent it from
happening. There must be strict surveillance on activities within financial systems via
internet based risk management software that can be used to positively and structurally
shape change our future into a better haven.

Social

Societal awareness of dangers in our environment such as: tsunamis, earth quakes etc.
are necessary. These signs must be known and communicated as well as documented.
Building plans and architectural setting must depict the environmental happenings in the
past so us to avert future disasters
Environmental degradations and depletions can be solved through policies and
programmes aimed at afforestation, land reclamation, to ensure the safety of our land.
The United Nations, Social and environmental friendly non-governmental organisations
and civil society groups should also focus their attention on research and developmental
agenda geared towards sustainable policy on our environment.
Political

Decisions taken by political leaders as well as negotiations they are involved in must be
done in good faith to prevent any negative boomerang effect or backlash. The tenets of
democracy should be followed to the latter. Political corruption must be counted
immediately because of its negative repercussions. It could degenerate into very
serious thing later if not checked.

Research and empirical studies must focus on past events that affected the political
climate of the world, leadership failures that has plunged many states into anarchy,
opposition management and how best to manage and resolve these situations in order
to secure a better world.
The United Nations and other world organizations should pay extra attention on
historical research that would bring out certain key choice point. The processes of
conflict resolutions must be documented to help future generations when confronted
with similar crisis.
Mankind must be aware that we are but fallen generation. We must appreciate that
there is no substitute for peace and all must work towards achieving and maintaining
peace. The major flashpoints pointed out by Gregg Braden should serve as a guide for
our future. We must appreciate that whatever we do today has repercussions into the
future.
