1. Compare and contrast the types of action research.

= Individual teacher research focus on a single issue in the classroom,


Collaborative Action Research may involved two person in doing the research, School -
wide research focuses on issues common to all, the topic of this research is base on
problem that the is facing and District wide research are more complex that school wide
research, the issues or topic can be organizational or community base. However, These
types of action research has different used at the end of the day these researches aim to
change or solve a problem inside the school.

2. What are the characteristics of action research? Explain each. 

= Focus on immediate problem and its solution


- Teachers are conducting an action research to find a solution to a problem.
= Not concerned with building theories and generalizations
- this is not the concern because action research focuses on finding a
solution on how teachers can improve themselves in teaching or the school rather

= Aims to improve practices on work conditions


- Action research helps the teachers to reflect how effective they are in
teaching.

= Need little efforts, resources and finances


- Action research is quite expensive and it needs a lot of effort and
dedication. You need to provide proof and other resources to support your topic.

=A practical Focus
- A practical focus because it is for the betterment of the school and
teachers.

= The educator researchers own practices


- it is base on teachers experiences as a teacher and how they encountered
different challenges in teaching

= Collaboration
- Action Research can easily done when it is collaborative, this is to share
ideas and thoughts of a two person reaching one goal.

- In doing an Action Research planning is very important because it serves
a your guide in doing the research, unplanned research may results a big failure.

- sharing the ideas and disseminating the parts of research to other can
finish the research easily.

3. Discuss the qualities of action research. ( at least three)

= To deepen one’s understanding of his/her problem


- through action research it helps the researchers to identify his/her own
problem or weaknesses by reflecting.
= it describes and explain human actions
- it involves the behavior and attitude of a teacher to his/her students and
the attitude of the students to the teachers.

= it involves participants in self reflection about their situation, as active


partners in the research.
- self reflection is needed in action research because your reflection on
yourself and your looking for what to improve to become a better and effective teacher.

I wasn’t able to pass the activity on time because I am suffering from fever
and cough until now ma’am thank you.
