Because of the large catégories of products, Samsung uses different pricing

strategies.
The pricing strategies are divided in 2 :

Skimming price :
For example the Smartphones which are one of the best in the market learder
Samsung sell them at high price. Its objective is to obtain maximum revenue
from the market before substitutes products appear.
After that is accomplished, Samsung can lower the price drastically to capture
the low-end buyers and to thwart the copycat competitors.

Competitive pricing :
For their other products such as TVs, refrigerators… it uses a competitive pricing
The price is lower than that offered by the competitors, or a price made more
attractive because of added incentives, such as longer payment terms.
The main competitor is LG . So Samsung keeps competitive pricing in order to
beat competitors.

Penetration pricing strategy is not used by Samsung
