Direction: How are you going to educate and train the educable mentally retarded?

Educating and training children will never be easy how much more if the it is mentally retarted.
But If I will be given a chance to educate one, I will give my best to meet their expectations. I
will give my hundred percent effort to learn about their situation. By that I will be able to create
techniques and strategies on how to teach them. As teacher I will create an environment where
they can express themselves freely. I’ll make sure to address all their needs. I will make them
feel secure and loved I want them to feel that they are special and just like normal students they
also have the right to learn. I know it will be hard but I will teach them step by step so that it will
not be hard for them. I will treat them equally like how I treat normal students I will make them
more special because they are unique and behind their disability I believe there is a talent that no
one else could do except them. I will encourage them to be just be themselves and freely express
their ideas and opinion. I will help them to improve whatever it takes.

Disability refer to difficulty in carrying out task it is disadvantage in filling a role in life relative
to a peer group. While impairment refers to a problem with structure or tissue level where tend to
loss of normal physical or mental abilities.

4. Mental disability from learning disability


Mental disability can affect anyone at any time and may be overcome with treatment. Unlike
learning disability is not a mental illness because it is a permanent condition develop at Early
childhood.
