Federal Order Explanations


1) 1/1 must move in Road Column to N9.28 and await further orders. The division (and Hall’s Battery) must remain in
their Road Column along the Emmitsburg Road until they obtain new orders.

2) Take over as Acting Army Commander when Reynolds is killed. Howard cannot issue any orders until he begins a
turn occupying N36.45 and sees “the lay of the land.”

3) 2/3/1 is to move via S10.14 (Pitzer’s Schoolhouse) to N61.35 to N35.31 and rejoin 3/1. Double Quick when able.

4) 1/3/1 and Cooper Battery are to move to S10.14 then follow Willoughby Run to the Fairfield road, then east to
McPherson’s Ridge and finally north to join the rest of the Corps.

5) These units are to rejoin their Command. 2/1 Div can Double Quick when able.

6) The player can assign any desired hex for the 1 Corps HQ that makes sense with whatever orders 1/1 has been given
at this point, but that hex must be on or west of Seminary Ridge and east of West McPherson’s Ridge.
