LogMein Hamachi LAN Gaming Manual

What is it
With LogMein Hamachi it's possible to have a LAN game with people around the Globe. It's a Mac
program and you can download it from the www.logmein.com website and install it on the Mac.

Step One: Create or Join a Network

After downloading and installing Hamachi for the Mac, you can start the program. When doing so,
it will ask you to “Create” or “Join” a network. So it depends if you want to create or join yourself
or a network of a friend. If you “create” a network, you need to set a networkname (capital
sensitive) which needs to be unique + a password. If you “join” a network, you need to fill in the
specific networkname + password to join. After doing one of the both you will see something like
below in the screenshot.

Step 2 : Lets LAN!

After creating/joining a network, write down the IP number of the one who ”Host” the game. Then
start the specific game. I use in this example Age of Empires 2 Conquerors: For the one who hosts,
host a LAN game. Then the other(s) can join the game using the tcp/ip option in the game, using the
IP written down from LogMein Hamachi. After a few seconds you will meet eachother in the game
room and kick eachothers butt.

In this example I was using the game Age of Empires 2. For other games like Red Alert or C&C
Tiberian Sun or C&C Tiberian Dawn or any other game, just LAN game might work also, instead of
joing IP.
