what is national clothes?

The handicrafts of the Kazakh people are a rich treasure that is developing along with the
history of antiquity. One of the handicrafts of the Kazakh people is sewing clothes.

There are still many Kazakh national costumes, which from ancient times to the present day
have not lost their dignity and are used not only as a leading example of handicrafts, but
also as beautiful and comfortable.
FEATURES OF NATIONAL CLOTHING
ONE OF THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE NATIONAL
COSTUME OF KAZAKHS OVER MANY CENTURIES IS
THE COMPLEX, UNUSUAL DECOR. THE GARMENT WAS
DECORATED USING ORIGINAL EMBROIDERY, LACE,
BORDER AND OTHER ELEMENTS.

TRADITIONALLY, ORNAMENTS HAVE BEEN THOUGHT TO ACT AS A STRONG GUARANTOR, PROTECTING THE INDIVIDUAL
FROM THE INFLUENCE OF EVIL FORCES AND NEGATIVE INTENTIONS. KAZAKHS NEVER SKIMPED ON LAVISH DECORATION OF
CLOTHES. HOWEVER, EVERYDAY DRESSES WERE ALMOST NO DIFFERENT FROM SOLEMN.
WOMAN’S OUTFIT

THE COSTUME CONSISTED OF THREE MAIN PARTS:

COMZOL
DRESS.

WOMEN’S HEADDRESSES DEPENDED ON THE AGE, AGE AND WEALTH OF THE


COSSACK. THEIR MAIN PURPOSE WAS NOT ONLY TO PROTECT THEIR HEADS FROM
THE COLD AND THE WIND, BUT ALSO TO DEMONSTRATE TO EVERYONE AROUND
THEM THE SOCIAL POSITION OF WOMEN.

THE COSSACKS MADE EXTENSIVE USE OF VARIOUS DECORATIONS TO


COMPLEMENT THE IMAGE. IN MOST CASES, PREFERENCE WAS GIVEN
TO:

RINGS;

BRACELETS;

EARRINGS;

NECKLACES

RICHLY STRETCHED BELTS.


KAZAKH MEN’S COSTUME

THE MEN’S KAZAKH NATIONAL COSTUME WAS ALWAYS SIMPLE, CONCISE AND FUNCTIONAL. BUT IN DOING SO HE LOOKED
FESTIVE AND ELEGANT, HIS COLORING DELIGHTED WITH BRIGHT COLORS.

FOR CENTURIES, KAZAKH MEN HAVE REMAINED FAITHFUL TO THE TRADITIONAL HEADDRESS - THE TUBE. ALSO POPULAR WERE
FUR HATS AND HIGH FELT COVERINGS, THE DISTINGUISHING FEATURE OF WHICH WERE FIELDS BENT UPWARDS. IN THE COLD
SEASON OF THE YEAR, THE «TYMAK» WAS EXTREMELY POPULAR, FOR WHICH THE SHEEP WAS USED. FOR CHILDREN’S
HEADGEAR, FOX FUR WAS THE MOST COMMONLY USED.
THE OBLIGATORY PART OF THE MEN’S OUTFIT IS THE BROAD-SHAPED BALLOON PANTS WITH SPECIAL WEDGES
OF SHEEP WHICH PROTECT THE FEET OF THE KAZAKH FROM RUBBING DURING RIDING. IT WAS CALLED A
HUMPBAR. THE OUTFIT WAS COMPLEMENTED BY A RASPBERRY, A COMFORTABLE CAMISOLE MADE OF PRACTICAL
FABRIC THAT PROTECTED AGAINST THE WIND AND THE BURNING SUN. THEY WERE DIVIDED INTO SUMMER AND
WINTER MODELS.
KAZAKHSTAN WORE A SHECKLEN - A WIDE BELT
WITH A BEAUTIFUL EMBROIDERY, ACTING AS A
GUARANTOR FOR ITS OWNER. POOR MEN WORE
LONG-FLOOR FELT ROBES AS OUTER CLOTHING,
WHILE WEALTHIER MEN PREFERRED FUR COATS.
The role of traditional clothing today

In the 21st century, it is already difficult to see


Kazakhs in national clothes. This can be done only
in the distant outback, at various ethnic festivals,
or look at the exhibits in museums.

The style of modern Kazakhstan has undergone significant


changes. Men and women choose the practical and functional
clothing of fashion brands; traditional folk costumes can be found
only in remote settlements
But the nation remembers
and honors its traditions,
language and culture. Many
Kazakhs and Kazakh women
wear a national costume for
weddings, various solemn
events, and perform a
national dance in them. Dolls
in traditional Kazakh clothes,
which are fashionable to
exhibit at holidays, are no
less popular.
The role of traditional
clothing in teaching
children

Developing
a) Continue to form students' ideas about the culture,
traditions and customs of the Kazakh people,
consolidate knowledge about Kazakh clothing.

c) Introduce the words denoting Kazakh clothes,


pronunciation and spelling of these words.

the age characteristics of students.

For example, to invite children to imagine


themselves as visitors to the yurt. And in
yurts, tell them about national ornaments and
also reveal the topic of the lesson by
showing them national clothes.
For example, give each group cards
with clothes and ask them to divide
them into men's and women's national
costumes. This will help consolidate
their knowledge and also evaluate
their work. To develop their motor
skills, invite them to cut out national
ornaments present on clothes from
colored cardboard.
