Teacher’s Interface

Step 1
• Login using the credentials shared via
email/sms
• Login link: https://app.vidyartha.com/
• Click on Sign-in with the credentials shared
over mail

Get a DASHBOARD VIEW of Google Classroom.
Click on the relevant subject to gain access to
the classroom feature.
Step 3
The ‘Stream’ tab in Google Classroom shows the latest announcements, notices, and
updates about ongoing activities in your class. A unique class code is provided here for
every class and section.

Teachers can:
• Add announcements and notices for students
• Keep track of upcoming events, exams, and

The ‘Classwork’ tab in Google Classroom displays chapters, assignments, class
material, BYJU’S content, and Drive feature for uploading relevant resources.

Teachers can:
• Upload their own learning content by clicking
on ‘CREATE’
• Set marks
• Set due date
• Monitor and prevent plagiarism
• Attach additional content (if any) in different
formats
• Click on ‘ASSIGN’ to make it available for Classwork shows all chapters, assignments, class
material, BYJU’s content, Drive for uploading all
students or ‘SCHEDULE’ or ‘SAVE IN DRAFT’ materials and much more features to help the
teachers for a seamless teaching experience

Here’s how teachers can make BYJU’S content available for students:
• Click on ‘EDIT MATERIAL’
• Write and attach additional material and click on ‘POST’ for it to appear on the
student’s dashboard
NOTE: BYJU’S content is initially available on the teacher’s dashboard. Teachers can decide on what
content should be made available for the students as per their class schedule.

Here’s how teachers can make BYJU’S content available for students:
• Click on ‘EDIT MATERIAL’
• Write and attach additional material and click on ‘POST’ for it to appear on the
student’s dashboard
NOTE: BYJU’S content is initially available on the teacher’s dashboard. Teachers can decide on what
content should be made available for the students as per their class schedule.
Additional features of the ‘Classwork’ tab:
• Click on ‘MEET’ to start a Google Meet call
• Click on ‘CLASS DRIVE FOLDER’ to access all the classwork material in one place

The ‘People’ tab showcases the names of students, teachers and their contact details.
A teacher can remove/mute the student if needed.

People shows student list and provides additional options of Emailing


students, Remove students for the class, or Mute students

The ‘Marks’ tab displays student’s assignment, allocated marks, and class average.

Teachers can:
• View the submission and mark it
• Return the submission back to the student if it’s not up to the mark

• The ‘Settings’ icon will let teachers customise their account as per their needs.
• Click on ‘APPLY’ to save the settings

Overview of Student’s Interface

Students can sign in with credentials shared over mail and view a dashboard mapped to
all the subjects:

Overview of Admin’s Interface

Here’s how the ‘Admin Console’ looks:


• Admin can add new users (new students, teachers, and staff manually)

Additional Features

Teachers can allocate marks and give feedback to students and it’ll go as notifications to
parents.

Classroom allows students and teachers to stay abreast of the status of all assignments.
Teachers can see how many users completed assignments at a glance on the
Classwork page, and a more detailed status by the user is provided when viewing the
individual assignment. Students are also able to see pending assignments as well as
those turned in or graded.
Teachers can check the status of assignments.
• An overview of completed assignments is available on the ‘Classwork’ tab
• A detailed version can be seen by viewing the assignment
• Students can unsubmit their assignment and resubmit it post teacher’s feedback

Notifications can be customised for each course.
• Teachers can opt in or out to receive notifications for comments, scheduled posts,
student work, and invitations to co-teach.
Announcements can be filtered.
• Go to Stream and select the assignment
• Click on the three dots and move it up or down

Student permissions can be managed.
• Go to settings and choose the control type under the ‘General’ tab
• Go to settings and choose marking system under the ‘Marks’ tab
Students can be added or removed from the class
• Go to the ‘People’ tab and select the + sign
• Add name or email ID of the student
• Click on the invite or copy the class code and share it with the student
• Click on the three dots beside the student’s name to remove him/her
Real-time interaction is possible via Google Hangouts
• It has chat, video conferencing, video broadcasting, remote learning features
• Teachers can record up to 8 hours of live sessions

Yes. Google Hangouts, another product of G Suite for


Education enables chatting, video conferencing, and video
broadcasting. It makes remote learning possible; teachers
can invite students to a conference call on Hangouts if
they need extra tutoring. Teachers can also record live
sessions until up to 8 hours.
Assign group assignments
• Deselect ‘All Students’ and assign it to only the group members
• Assign a group number in the title to identify various student groups Example: Group 1
or Group 2

While creating an assignment, deselect the ‘All


Students’ option and choose the students you
want to assign the assignment to. Be sure to
assign a group number, when you create a Title,
for eg: Number System -Group 1, to identify
which students are assigned to which group.
Invite guest speakers and coaches
• Use the Google Meet feature to send invites
• The guest should have Google Account to join the call

Yes. If the speaker has a Gmail account and access to


G Suite for Education, teachers can invite him/her by sharing
a Google Meet link. You can also use Hangouts On Air
where the guest speaker can provide a live stream.
