11-15 Basic structures often inaccurate and vocabulary not adequate to deal with
everyday topics.
0-10 Consistent distortion of basic structures and lack of vocabulary makes
simple communication very difficult.

21-25 Natural speed and some hesitation with more complex structures or while
organizing ideas.
16-20 Not a constant flow of language with noticeable hesitation when searching
for language.
11-15 Hesitation requires patience on the part of the listener.
0-10 Very disconnected speech and difficult to follow.

21-25 Easily understood although L1 accent may be evident.
16-20 A little strain on the listener but L1 accent does not impede understanding.
11-15 Mispronunciation of individual sounds causes frequent misunderstanding.
0-10 Difficult to understand with frequent breakdowns in communication.
