CHAPTER 3

METHODOLOGY

This chapter gives an outline of research methods that were continued in the

investigation. It provides information of the respondents, who are the respondents, where

and how they were sampled. The researcher describes the research design that was

chosen for the purpose of the study and the reasons for this choice. The instruments that

was utilized for data collection is also described and the procedure to be followed to

complete this examination is included. The researcher also discusses the methods used to

analyze the data.

3.1 Research Design

This study will focus on evaluating the Impact of Cramming in Modular

Modalities of Grade 12 Senior High School students on how it affects their academic

performance and behavioral aspect. Moreover, the result of this study will provide

countermeasures to reduce the chances of having low academic performance or having

failed grades among the students. The researchers will utilize statistical method using

quantitative approaches in gathering information about the present existing condition.

3.2 Participant of the Study

This research study will be carried out with the participation of Grade 12 Senior

High School of Agusan del Sur National High School. Random sampling is used to

select randomly 100 participants of this study within the four tracks (STEM, ABM, GAS,

TVL) of senior high school. The participants will fill out the online questionnaire that

will be given to them to assess on how cramming in modular modality affects their

academic performances and their behavior during new normal learning.

3.3 Setting of the Study

This study was conducted in Agusan del Sur National Highschool (ASNHS)

Barangay 5, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. It is open in different field of interest in

Senior High School such as STEM, ABM, GAS and TVL.

3.4 Instrumentation

For the purpose of this study, the researcher used online survey questionnaire

which is anchored in the K to 12 science curriculum guides was developed and utilized as

the main instrument to discover and gather information regarding to the study. The

questionnaire has a rating scale with three-point scale. Whereas the respondents rate the

given questions in each part through one (1) for “always”, two (2) for “sometimes”, three

(3) for “never”. This research instrument used Rating Scale specifically the Likert Scale.

3.5 Data Gathering Procedure

Information assortment of this investigation uses online overview surveys. A few

changes were made and approved by specialists. The substantial instrument filled in as

the bases in sending letters that approaches authorization for the dispersion of the polls to

the respondents. The respondents were not force to reply and they have a decision on the

off chance that they need to give their names and other discretionary data. The

dissemination and recovery of overview surveys depended on the analyst's planned

arrangement of information gathering.

3.6 Data Analysis

Frequency and percentage will be used as a statistical tool to analyse the profile of

the respondents. Understanding the product/ performance mean will be used in evaluating

the Impacts of Cramming in Modular Modalities to the Academic Performance of senior

high school students.

In seeking out the protection of the respondents in the study Impacts of Cramming

in Modular Modalities to the Academic Performance, the researcher will construct a table

to show the following relationship of variables for analysis and interpretation.
