The report focuses on the different theories of communication highlighting all the key issues

of the communication process. In addition to that, various communication barriers are

focused related to the COVID-19 vaccination. Moreover, the government has executed

different measures to overcome the communication barriers.

Introduction

The term business communication is mainly related with the conversation between owners of

the company representing conversation. In the context of COVID-19 the overall market of

business and communication for business related problem are not been performed. The report

will shed lights on the general theories of organisation communication focusing on the

overall growth of the concept. In addition to that, it will also highlight the barriers to

communication preventing people from getting the vaccine. In the end, the government

strategies to overcome the barriers are highlighted in an effective manner.


1. General theories of organisation communication

There are different communication theory which are used for effective conversation between

the organisation. Thus, effective business communication is very much essential for meeting

the goal of the organisation and enhancing the success of company through sustainability.

A) The General theory of organisation communication

The concept of organisation communication focuses on different aspect of the organisation

which can be highlighted through organisation communication. Therefore, the various aspect

of business communication are integration, wholeness and structure of the organisation

(Stefanescu, 2020). In addition to this, this theory is very much essential for demonstrating

understanding the requirement of effective communication within the business workplace.

Moreover, the overall theory also describes the need for effective communication to perform

the business activity effectively. The general theory also consist of establishing different

factors within the workplace to promote business operation and interlock the subsystem and

integral part of the business activity. This theory also improves the communication between

different department and enhances workflow environment of the business (Stefanescu, 2020).

Furthermore, the enhancement of effective communication improves the business operation

and collects feedback of the customer related to the products and services.

B) Weber’s classic organisation theory of organisational communication

The Weber’s classic theory is mainly highlighted in the form of organisation strucuture to

demonstrate understanding related to organisation communication. In addition to this, the

theory also involves of different process which can be used to accomplish the betterment of

the organisation. Thus, the theory elaborates that defining the roles and responsibilty within

the organisation increases the overall growth in the market (Matsunaga, 2021).. Ultimately

this theory will directly increase the communication among the employees for elbaorating
roles and responsibilty withint the workplace. Henceforth, this communication theory is very

much effective for enhancing transpriacy within the workpalce along with specific strucutre.

Along with that, the theory improves the messaging system among the employees to promote

theory of growth in communication.

C) Principles of effective communication

The principle of effective communication mainly focused on making the communication

better within the workplace. The principle of effective communication is presented below:-

Consistency

Consistency is one of the most important factor for principle of communication in a effective

manner. In addition to that, consistency develops continous process of communication to

mitigate the barriers arrives due to improper communication (Shipovalova, 2020).

Formal Language

The principle of communication also includes the use of formal language to spread messages

all over the company in a effective process. Along with that, the formal language also

demonstrate the understnading for delivering scope to avoid unwanted use of bad words.

Therefore, the workplace ehtics and behaviour of others can be analysed from the formal

language within the principle of communication (Krieg, 2021). In addition to that, the

effective communication also requires to enhance formal language to promote teamoriented

working environment.

D) Purpose of effective communication

The purpose of communication is to highlight effectiveness within the workplace and

enhance business operation. Moreover, the developing aspewct within the workplace requires

to achieve the goals.


Motivation: The proper communication has a prupose of motivating the employees within the

workplace for overall growth. In addition to that, motivated employees within the workplace

also assists in increasing the productivity within the workplace. Moreover, it improves the

performance of the employees and engages with the work assigned (De Sio, 2020).

Controlling: The communication within the organisation promotes the management style and

control all the operation effectively. Thus, effective communication aims to enhance

performance of the employees and increases the controlling nature of the employees.

Furthermore, the spread of awareness among the employees improves business responsibilty.

Sharing of data: The effecive communication also build trust and faith among the employees

and enhances business operation within the workplace. Moreover, communication increase

the sharing of data and promotes the business operation effectively regarding the policies and

other operation of the company.

2. Barriers to communication preventing people from getting vaccine

The COVID-19 vaccination program by the Bristish government requires to develop attention

of the public regaridng the importance of vaccination. The overall population of the nation

also faced serious issues related to COVID-19 and different barrier to communication for the

vaccination process. The following are the barrier to communication in the vaccination

Physical barrier

The overall population of UK has faced various issues related to the vaccination process due

to improper communication (Ikiseh, 2020). Thus, the physical barrier contains the issues

related to the vaccination process while booking slot for the vaccine. In addition to this,

people are also unable to provide adequate amount of idea for the vaccination centre in

different locations.
Emotional barrier

The improper communciation among the public related to the importance of vaccine has

affected the vaccination process in UK. Thus, people are unable to understand the importance

of vaccine. Furthermore, improper spreading of news related to side-effect of vaccine effects

the motive of the government regarding vaccination.

Information barrier

The British government has provided various information related to the vaccination program

from different sources. Thus, the media has influence the attention of the public by spreading

the fake the vaccination.

Cultural barrier

The culture barrier denotes with the use of different language and people belongs to different

culture doesn’t elaborates among each others (Wais-Hennen, 2021). Therefore, the

communication barriers arrive from culture is the improper conversation among the public

due to cultural barrier.

Attitude barrier

The proble of negative attitude has become a big problem of barrier within the nation due to

the vaccination process. In addition to this, the maintenance of social distancing is a new

issues and attitudinal problem among the citizens for communication.


3. Government strategies to overcome these barriers

The government of UK has executed various strategies to manage the barriers of

communication for the vaccination process. Henceforth, the following strategies will be very

mcuh effecitve for redcuing the barrier to communication in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clear communication

The clear communication through different sources decreases the communication factor

within the workplace. Moreover, clear communication can be highlighted through social

media message for the public to understand importance of vaccination (Bobyreva, 2021). The

government is also send clear message to the public to take vaccine from the nearby local

municplaity for accomplishing the motive of clear communication.

Conducting effective campaign

The givernment can conduct different campaign related to communicating with the public for

vaccination. In this campaign the government is requires to spread advertisment related to the

importnsce of vaccination. Moreover, the campaign can also elaborate the decision making of

the public towards the vaccination process which will consider under a survey within the

organisation.

Tools of communication

Television, radio and social media platform are the major tool which are used for effective

communication. In addition to that, the all the communication tools are very much effective

for sharing the information to large number of population (Martynova, 2020). Henceforth, it

will improve the vaccination in different working areas for development. Moreover, the

communication tools are very much effective for consulting with the employees and enhaces

the growth of conversation of different culture.


Recommendation

1. It can be recommended that effective communication requires to execute different tools to

promotes communication and miitgate the issues related to communication. In addition to

that, to improvise the vaccination process the government needs to strengthen the negative

feelings of the public.

2. In addition to this, the communication process can build by developing different channels

of communication and enhance the operation with effective performance. Within the

workplace the communication barrier may affect the operation. Thus, the theories should be

execute to the employees to highlight the importance of effective communication.

3. During the COVID-19 pandemic thwe government of UK also requires to develop daily

campaign in different region and villages to mitigate the communication barrier within the

public.
Conclusion

It can be concluded from the above that the theories for communication are very much

effective for increasing the lnowledge among the employees within the workplace. In

addition to that, the communication theories highlight all the information related to

behavioiur and nature of employees while communicating with other members. Henceforth,

the different barriers to communication highlight the minor issues which has been created

among the citizen regarding barriers. Furthermore, the government of UK has established

different stratgies to overcome the issue of communication barrier and provide effective

vaccination to all the citizens.
