Technology for Teaching and Learning in the Elementary Grades
ACTIVITY 2:
1. Based on your understanding, what is the difference between educational technology and
technology?
Educational technology according on my perspective is a specific type of technology that
use to accomplish educational goals. These are technologies that we use in order to enhance
our learning performances. Morever, educational technologies help the teaching and learning
process to be more affordable and easier. Teachers use educational technology as way to easily
explain the lessons and for faster distribution of knowledge. On the other hand, technology is a
tool for general purposes. Technologies are everywhere, it can be seen in the classroom, in the
kitchen,in the malls, or inside your pocket. These are applications that created to help living
easier. With the help of technology we can do tasks in less time and effort.
2. The CHED and DEPED instruct the schools that no face to face class interaction. As a future
BEE teacher,how can you teach the elementary students without the classroom interaction?
As a future BEE teacher, if there is no face to face class interaction the first thing I will do is
to ask suggestions from my students. Considering their situations as well as their opinions are
very important. Prioritize what they need the most and perform the action afterwards. If they
insist to undergo using online platforms then I will create platforms that can address their
needs. I will make sure that at the end of the day they have something to learn. Using google
classroom with the guidance of their parents is applicable. If majority of the students can't
afford to use those platforms I will proceed to modular. As I know, the attention spand of
elementary pupils are limited so I will just set enough time and make every presentation
interesting and knowledgable. Assessment will be done every Friday so that I can test their
learning for the week and I set it once a week for the learners not to get too much stress. My
teaching techniques is fun, interestung, knowledgable and stress free.
