Albo's log

In the “First voyage around the world” Antonio Pigafetta and Albo was friends
and member of magellan’s expediction and witness some important event in
there tour

1. upon March 16, 1521, while sailing through the Ladrones in a westerly
direction, they noticed land from the northwest, which they subsequently
learned was mostly called Yunagan.

2. Mazaua Island's reported position and latitude of nine and two-thirds

degrees North definitely correlate to the position and latitude of south.

3. They sailed away from the two islands and arrived at the island "Gada,"
where they replenished their food and water supplies; Albo didn't state the
latitude of this island, but based on Pigafetta's evidence, it appears to be the
"Acquada" or Homonhon, which is located at 10 degrees North latitude.

4. they came from island direct to westward towards seilani the pigafetta's
ceylon (leyte) just to get and harvest some gold

5. Sailing down the coast of Seilani, they headed southwest to a tiny island
known as "Mazava."

6. the spanish was impressed by the people of mazava they went to a

mountain to three island in west and soutwest for gold as the people says and
they only got small pieces of it.
7. the magellans expediction (which pigafetta and albo are member) trip
towards northward and again towards seilano as they follow northwesterly to
coast of seilani having a 10 degrees lattitude until they saw the three islands

8. as they travelled thru the ten leagues, in which they will spend the night
They approached a canal between two islands, one named "Matan" and the
other "Subu."

9. They sailed down that canal, turned west, and moored in the town of Subu,
where they stayed for several days, procured food, and made a peace treaty
with the local monarch.

10. Subu was located on the east-west axis of the islands Suluan and
Mazava. However, there were so many shallows between Subu and Mazava
that the boat couldn't sail westward directly and had to take a detour.

According to Albo's testimony, the island he refers to as Gada was 'acquada'

in Pigaffeta, referring to the island Homonhon, where they gathered water and
wood. The huge island of Seilani has been renamed Leyte. They've arrived at
the tiny island of Mazava after sailing south along the island's eastern shore
and then southwest. Limasawa is located in southern Leyte. It should be
emphasized that Albo does not specify where the first mass came, but rather
the planting of the cross along the mountain top, from where the three islands
to the west and southwest could be viewed. It does not suit the Butuan coast,
from which no islands can be seen to the south or southwest, but only to the
north.
Excerpts from Montero’s Account of the Cavite Mutiny

According to the module, the elimination of the rights enjoyed by the

employees of the Cavite arsenal of exemption from tribute was the cause of
the insurgency. Other factors, though, had a role. One of the thing open the
mind of the filipino to go a revolution against the spanish is about to throw the
sitting monarch and make the philippines a very own republic.attuned to the
most profound homages to the dethroned majesty The statements and
preachings of the apostles of these new ideas in Spanish the overreactions of
the Americans and the criminal policy of the nonsensical Governor whom the
Military dictatorship sent to the Philippines, and also who put these concepts
into action. They began working toward this aim with the powerful support of a
certain portion of the native clergy that made common purpose with the
country's adversaries.
The receive a large number anonymous messages at various times at the
beginning of 1872, with news that gained more influence against the
spaniards Spaniards would break out when they go at Cavite, and that
everyone would be killed. Nobody, however, paid attention to these
notices. The top leaders met at times in the homes of Jacinto Zamora, a
native priest, and these meetings were usually attended by the curate of
Bacoor whose vivacious personality and vast wealth enabled him to influence.

Magellan distributed gifts to eight locals who arrived in a tiny boat. The

one of the native king. They were greeted and presents were given. The
Spanish ships anchored near the local king's village in the afternoon.

monarch/king that they had come as friends and had requested food supplies.
The king proceeded to Magellan's ship with six or eight men and exchanged
further gifts. They returned ashore with two Magellan crew members as
guests, one of them was Pigafetta.

Mass and cross-planting ceremony, both the King of Mazaua and the King of
Butuan were present.

the monarchs/kings about ports with plentiful food supply. They said that Zubu
(Cebu) was the busiest port. Magellan requested that someone lead him, and
the kings answered that pilots would do it. The monarch changed his mind
and chose to guide them once the harvest was finished.
