4.Watch on YouTube: How to Save Our Planet? Discuss and create a reaction paper about the
importance of this course subject.
Answer:
Sir David Attenborough explains on this clip on how humans can take charge of our future and save
our planet. As David Attenborough remarkably message, “Reduce our impact by making sure that everything
we do, we can do forever.” Despite of everything, we conquered earth. We should strive to preserve it. We must
phase out fossil fuels and replace it with renewables to slow down the warming of the planet and the acidification
of the ocean to lead to us a clean air. We also must upgrade food production and reduce the consumption of meat,
to provide ourselves more on grasslands to become the people healthier and have an affordable food. Working
together to properly manage our oceans, working hard to keep hold of the wild populations we still have.
So, what we can do right now is to eat less meat, be energy efficient, don’t litter in the sea, what we can do
is to treat it with care, encourage nature wherever we can. Care. Open your eyes. Embrace. Think. And change the
world. As David Attenborough said, “If we make these changes, we’ll be a long way to becoming a species in balance
with nature once again. We will have taken a remarkable journey, from a million people struggling to survive to
several billion living long, healthy lives on a stable planet able to provide for all our needs. Only at that point will the
Anthropocene, the age of humans, be truly underway. At that point, we’ll be proud to call it ‘Our Planet’.”
