A leading Indian motorcycle manufacturer has assigned the task to conduct a study for their
proposed electric motorcycles for the mass market. Prepare a detailed market study for the
company with your recommendations.

The electric two-wheeler market in India is emerging as an account of government policies


supporting battery powered vehicles, as a growing awareness towards the environment. The
global electronic motorcycle is expected to witness 10.35% CAGR during the forecast period
2019-2025. Another important driver contributing to the growth and adoption of EV is the
growing awareness of greenhouse emissions and environmental pollution. They also have the
potential to reduce the dependence of crude oil. Therefore the cost effectiveness of EVs along
with long term fuel savings with environmental friendliness is the key factors increasing the
purchase of electronic vehicles in India.

• Suggestions
 The growth of the global electric motorcycle and scooter market is a function of
advancements in green energy technologies.
 Lead acid batteries are being developed in abundance which has supported the growth of
the global electric motorcycles and scooter market.
 Growing traffic congestion has leaded the consumers to prefer two-wheelers over private
cars for daily commute.
 Factors such as incorporation of regenerative braking, low noise levels, economical
maintenance cost, and high mechanical-efficiency are expected to increase the adoption
of environment friendly-vehicles.
 EVs offer energy saving performance than gasoline vehicles.
 There is not a bottleneck for electronic two-wheelers because their total storage needs are
substantially lower as they are smaller vehicles and carry less cargo.
