b. T g. F

d. T i. T

4.What other difficulties do you think Kristin had when she was your age?

I think before anything else, she had a hard time communicating as she said,
she was kind of ashamed but then she overcame it. Also I think it's hard that
she only had her hearing aid depending on.

5.The hearing impaired just need to make some adjustments to have a normal life.
How do you think they use things like alarm clock, the doorbell or the mobile phones?

I think such things have specialized features that are solely made for them. For
example, for an alarm, they could use a feature where it amplifies the sound
or simply the vibration. Mobile phones are easy to use especially when they
want to communicate.

6.Kristin watches films with subtitles. They are useful for people who want to practice
a foreign language too. But when films are not subtitled she can read lips. Try to say
a message to your partner with your lips (don't use your voice). Did he/she guess it?

I tried to say a word to younger sibling but he didn't understand what I meant.
It would took a skill to learn lip-reading method because it's kind of hard,
especially with people you barely know.

7. Kristin learned a sign language to communicate with some of her friends. Sign
language can be different depending on the country or the area. Many words like
dog, hello or pizza have a specific sign. This is a model of the American Sign
Language (ASL) alphabet and numbers. It was created in the 19th
century. Can you spell your name with sighs?

-Yes. I could spell my name with it.

8. Non-verbal communication such as gestures, face expressions, etc. is very
important in everyday life for both hearing and non-hearing. Can you use any signs to
transmit a message without speaking? For example: Stop and wait here.

Yes. I usually does it whenever I go to the market with my brother. I would give
him a look with
my index finger pointing the waiting area before leaving. It works everytime.
