SPEAKING 5 – CODE S5.

PART 1
In this part of the test, you are asked to give a short talk on a business topic. You have to
choose one of the topics from the two below and then talk for about one minute. You
have one minute to prepare your ideas.

A: What is Energy?

Energy, in the physics sense, is defined as capacity to perform work. More obviously,

it's the ability to effect changes in a physical system. A moving ball can hit another ball,
causing it to move. Current moving through a circuit can cause a lightbulb to emit light.
"Energy" is just the conversion rate between the two systems in each of these
examples.

B: Can you tell me some energy saving ideas?

Turn off what you’re not currently using.

Replace old electric stuffs

Run refrigerator at lower cooling settings

Use natural gas instead of electricity

Install solar panel to harness solar heat to your advantage and save fossil fuels.
Use clean energy if possible

the task prompt and then about three minutes to discuss the topic with your partner.
After that, the examiner will ask you more questions related to the topic.
