SPEAKING 5 – CODE S5.

PART 1
In this part of the test, you are asked to give a short talk on a business topic. You have to
choose one of the topics from the two below and then talk for about one minute. You
have one minute to prepare your ideas.

A: What is Employment Trends?

Employment Trends show whether employment in a particular area has risen or


declined in the stated years. In other word, Employment trends are based on a detailed
examination of the future demands of a variety of jobs and professions. They are based
on both past and present job opportunities.

B: What are some Employment trends in Vietnam?

 Recruitment goes mobile. Many job seekers use mobile devices to look for open
position and anpply for jobs
 Optimize social media for hiring. Website such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter… is
considered the most popular way to know your potential candidates
 companies are driven by projects and so by short term employment.
 A project driven structure means you have to have the skillset needed by the
employer to be ready on day

PART 2
In this part of the test, you are given a discussion topic. You have 30 seconds to look at
the task prompt and then about three minutes to discuss the topic with your partner.
After that, the examiner will ask you more questions related to the topic.

For two candidates

You have been asked to suggest ways to help in solving absenteeism in your company.
Discuss the situation together and decide:
 How can you reduce absenteeism in the work place?
 How effective is work flexibility in the work place?

Absenteeism is one of the most challenging aspects to manage. Employees do
not get motivated through monetary incentives. Leadership and management
can make a work place conducive to collaboration and effectiveness, not
neccassarily attendance.
It basically boils down to intra-personal relationship and motivation in yourself.
 Create a happier and balanced work environment - let them not avoid
work because of stress. Try having some break time activities in campus
like sports or gym facilities.
 Create a trustworthy relation with the employee's - such that, they dont
have to lie or cover up their absence.
 Be stern yet, clear in conveying your expectations from them-especially,
when you have some deadlines to work for.
 Being flexible to the genuine troubles of the employees - empathy helps
in gaining loyalty.

 We are totally independent.. We don't have any risks or other stuffs..
 Time management is better and convenient
 There can be more work done during this time.. Than in regular hours
 Better communication
 Highly productive time
 As a freelancer, I can say that the benefits are you can make a long-term
plan towards a certain goal
